Yes, you definitely need to try it out. My teenage kids' schedule are hectic..so impossible for them to stay in JB -their CCAs end at 7 pm ...they only join us for the weekends ..only get to travel out with us on a Monday. Oh yes, Mondays are more crowded than usual at the causeway ...best...

We usually leave at 5 am and cross the sg customs at about 5.55 am using the causeway. Since yours is at JW, think it is better to use second link. A neighbour who has children studying in the east leaves at 6 am and uses the 2nd link.

Avalon (at Nusa Bestari ) has limited and old varieties. You can try Lux lightings and Indah lightings on the opposite side of the road. Good services espeially Lux (next to some malay eatery).:)

I used an induction cooker instead of gas cooker. Ordering gas tanks sound very 'primitive' to me...only my mum's generation does that leh in sg. :) Induction cooker is just as good ...mine is multifunctional , can boil soup for 2 to 3 hours , steam etc

Re: Kitchen Cabinet Very difficult to find as the contractor will sub contract out to other smaller contractors to do the various parts of the house and their quality can never be guaranteed.

There is one next to Ambank at Bukit Indah. Think it is called U dental. Looks like a polyclinic but good service and popular with locals. :)

After numerous experiences with such contractors, my advice is to take their proposed plans with a pinch of salt. They can promise you the sky but fail to deliver. So best is not just to see the plans or photographs but to see the actual past projects . And never, never pay them in full before...

The dim sum restaurant is called Chang Man...now having 50% discount for chicken rice set from 6 pm to 9 pm on weekdays.. i think. Selling at 3 RM instead of 6 rm per set. Their chicken is nice especially the chillii. I love their dim sum. Much better than Chaw Yuan's (my taste) We have gone...
