The problem about relying on people is that they are essentially unreliable unless the job which you require them to do, appeals and calls forth the appeal to their higher, nobler and better sensibilities. In the case of the PAP, their calling to the job is one of mostly greed and vain-glory...

Stop their FT programme, stop the runaway inflation, control and bring down the costs of living and most importantly, provide affordable housing (aka 2008 prices) for all citizens??

I am quite wary of the games NEA might be playing... most people dont even renovate their own homes as often ... If you have to rebuild a hawker less than 5 years after the last time you did it, that means either you are wasting taxpayers money or you didnt do a proper job the last time...

I would like to invite everyone here to air their views about this latest PAP move to allow for corporatising of hawker centres,..... apart from driving the last of the precious and cherished hawkers into retirement or into selling all kinds of "high priced foods instead of looking after...

I hate to want to resurface this issue but what has giving Singapore's lands to a developer for its own profit gotanything to do with the benefit of all Singaporeans. i question what is happening with all the BTSS or whatever BT-BS they call it. they seemed to have just muttered something...
