A loser is one who expects others to fund his/her existence. If Goh Meng Seng expects the govt to give him a handout, then he's a loser. If he's financially independent, then he's a winner.

As for Goh Meng Seng, he has been in thick in the fray for over 10 years. To his credit, he joined the opposition movement when it was at its lowest ebb, shortly after the GE2001 which saw one of the worst performance since 1968. He worked hard. But then his ego got in the way, and he engaged in backstabbing, smearing, etc. Now look at him -- a pariah and a pale shadow of his former self when he stood tall amongst the giants of WP in GE2006. That is what happens when a man is overrun by his ego and misplaced sense of pride.
Not at all. If you check my posts, I placed a lot of emphasis on lack of corruption, honesty, life expectancy, infant mortality and opportunities for growth. It's not all about money.
This does not mean that those who place emphasis on wealth creation are misguided. I'm merely pointing out that "achievement" is not about ones bank account. It's about setting goals and taking steps to achieve them. In this regard, Goh Meng Seng has my utmost respect. He isn't in parliament yet but I'm sure he'll succeed in the future.
While you're at it, create also a special section for Bob Sim to boast about his homo exploits, temple donations, handphone waving, parental bashing, taking money from sister, and all the 1001 extra-marital affairs he appears to have spotted over the years. I'm sure your forum traffic will go up ten-fold and the quality of engagement will soar.
