bad clash in geylang two nights ago. weapons used. reinforcement arrived from both gangs.

soc activated the next day. many arrested late last night and early this morning.

i was there. they suspected i was involved until i told my moniker in this forum. all the officers gave me a salute.

those who read the chinese newspapers, was this reported?

The SPF seems to be run now by amateurs. They have the Police Intelligence Dept and yet, no one knew about the foreign criminals running the brothel in the forest at Woodlands and put a stop to the criminal activities there.

I grew up in an area, of neighbours whose credentials that ends with "P's" behind & some above, even people from ISD etc.... I have deep respect for the police force until very recent years, long after those I knew are retired or expired ( passed away)....the SPF os not the same anymore...

absolutely agree. i suspect it went down in the early 90s. since the 90s, young matas were recruited for intel and these youngsters had great difficulties getting informants. scholars had no idea that such informants also look at a mata's 'CV' before deciding to be their informant. an old timer once told me he was approached to be an informant by police intel when they interviewed him for a potential crime case which he wasn't involved in. his comments on the young mata made me malu! this guy remains well known till date. he was involved in an incident that led to some fleeing this country and setting up base in amsterdam which later made news headlines for the wrong reason - the ah kong!
