Oh yes, this kind of episode can only happen in Stinkiepore! Best of all it has to come from the so-called Stinkipore's biggest cycling club where
the organizer, Joyce Leong profits for herself more than a $120,000 a year by selling the club's jerseys to her 1300 members at $160 per set.

Instead of of instilling discipline and camaraderie among the club cyclists, Joyce Leong must be busy making money selling her cycling apparels to her sucker members.

This incident has brought total shame and disgrace to the cycling fraternity in S'pore.

This has got to be the biggest joke in S'pore cycling history!

Her Joy rider jersey maybe cost around $65.00 per pair, she make solid 100%!!

Italian jersey/pair only sells for $120.00 with very good padding!

Agreed but you do that on a road with no traffic lights. Frankly they deserve one another. Alvin should not have been in it. The other guys obviously was not brought up well as he has issues with other people's mum. I know of guys who can spew the most vular profanities at the drop of hat but don't bring along their balls when the punches are thrown.

If I were Alex, Alvin would have received more than a punch from me.

For effing someone's mother in a friendly group ride, his legs should have been whacked with a crowbar till broken!

When swimming pools were rare in SEA countries, we excelled. Then swimming pools started sprouting around the region, and we started to go south. Same thing with squash and sailing. But when having the best gear, money pouring in, Singapore will be number one. The one hilarious exception is the Pan Pacific Games for schools held in Canberra couple of years ago. The Singapore schools hockey team with 3 teacher and a hockey coach in tow brought along kids with football shin guards and not full length hockey shin guards. After a couple of injuries, the Australian parents gathered around and passed the hat for this poor 3rd world nation and bought each one of them a proper shin guard. What they were not aware is that teachers in Singapore earn more than their Australian counterparts and that it was not exactly on the poverty line but it was pure incompetence and ignorance. However the facts are :

1. It was evident to me and others present (I've also asked around some other riders) in the fast pack that Alex rides in his "unique" manner, insists on staying in line but kept opening gaps, causing some frustration.

2. He admitted to wearing MP3 "over the music streaming from my earphones" while riding, increasing the danger to other riders from this action. "A few firm but easy words" might not have gotten thru what he was listening to.

3. He eloquently glosses over the fact that, he struck Alvin with his fist FIRST. A 20+ young man punching a senior 40+ ... no matter what insults were hurled, this initiating action cannot be condoned.

4. Alvin suffered a cut to his upper lip, had to see doctor for treatment. If Alex was pinned and attacked as mentioned by him, he would have been similarly injured or more but he's not.

5. He has made apologies for himself losing control, to others for their assistance and suffering BUT not to the person he struck so viciously.

In such cases where 2 sides have their own story, character references may shed some better light.

Never held a decent job, played stock market and did not go far. He is now motivational coach and leadership trainer and conning his away with uneducated asians. even if she runs a shop ..nothing to be ashame of if she could maintain her profit margin high . most stupid businessman set their profit margin by their morals . yes , profit margin sometimes is also driven by the market ...but the market is driven by human too . so i believed if you know your business game wel enough l you would be able to control yr market . in business , you dont have to worry too much about your competitor . yes , they might willing to drop their profit margin and play the pricing game . but dont have to worry that . theres different ways of doing different business . as for the bike t-shirt ...theres a trend . hit it while the market is hot and run road .. thats hit and run business .

You have obviously never run a business in your life. The "profit" of any business is never "retail price" - "cost price".

Profit is calculated after ALL overheads are added to the equation. eg rent, license fees, wages, interest, depreciation, insurance, utility bills, advertising, transport, shipping and so on.
