why kali puff so expensive nowadays and no meat or little meat inside?

Old Chang Kee currypuff about $1.60 each
Polar currypuff about $2.20 each
Delifrance currypuff about $3.20 each

Expensive ? Wait for the CDC $50 voucher per household coming this month June 2020.
Is old chang kee a listed co?
Need to have good profit for sgx and ceo cfo shareholders too.

Go find out who collects rent from the vendors.

Maybe next time try curry puff kosong: hollow inside only the crust on the outside.

At Old Kallang Airport HC, curry chicken with potatoes is $1.30, for pepper chicken is $1.60, all black pepper chicken, no potatoe, they also have sardine curry puff. Stall opposite Blanco Court kway chap.

Last time, I used to buy curry puff and
curry powder from this stall at Parkway parade hawker centre.

can you do me a favour and ask the machik why potato 50c when sardine meat is also 50c.
one is cheap potato and the other uses can sardine.
surely sardine cost more than potato
there is more than 1 way to price a product. It could be based on cost plus a margin. It could be as nice gook says with product differentiation. But I call it predatory pricing (my words only. not official term.)

But it could also be that she can't be bothered to work it out and just slap on 50 cents if that's what she feels like. She may still compensate herself by putting next to no sardine in it.

Because cost of rental has gone up. No thanks to the proliferation of REITs and government policy to maintain high land prices.

There are negative trickle down effects of high rents which pushes the cost of everything up, from raw materials to labour cost.

What determines the cost of labour? Marx says it's the cost that a labourer needs to survive, from paying for his home, food and health etc. Of course this cost has been distorted in Singapore due to the heavy presence of cheap imported labour.

As far as curry puff by mchicks here is my take ..,if you ask her why sardine price and potato price same same , i bet she wil blink and shrug her shoulders ...because they themselves are not wiser .,,they are not organisations .,their accounting is simply is there more money in the till today than I spent on marketing in the morning

ley me tell you why. .,simply because that is the price the market sells or her nearest competition sells ..,in fact all Hawkers prices are determined as such

Once I had a breakfast in Malaysian , all kind of kueys 3 pieces at RM1 but lontong at RM4.50 ..,same thought went into my mind ,why lontong which is not much of expensive ingredients and much less labour cost 4.50 whreas 3 kueys only RM1 ..the seller doesn’t know either ...than I figured because that is the price everybody sells

sometimes it gets ridiculous in Malaysia ..I had nasi briyani for RM12 at a decent eatery ,and a hawker in the road without a licence also selling at the same price ...sometimes such people simply follow what others do

My guru once told me, Ask no questions and you'll be told no lies.

So, let's just enjoy good times when we are blessed with them. By the way, the hawker centre is at road turning, correct? Famous prawn noodle and lots of muslim food?
correct.got that super expensive yuelaixiang chengtng run by profiteering chinese who died a couple of years back while serving customers

K.N.N.

Me nephew said certain stalls also cute cute.

Eg. mee poke ~ if you buy dry version, its abt extra 50cents.
Is it becoose they have to use an Sextra bowl for the soup and thus sextra washing?
