Any idea why curry chicken spice is very expensive compared with chicken meat ?

Actually I need to buy 2 packets of curry paste ($6) to cook $6 chicken meat

If you buy the wet type of paste sure expensive. But the dry one sure cheap.

I believe one packet wet curry paste is good for one whole chicken.
