Wahahahah thats why I think I'll go to china to look for a wife. I've realized about sinkie woman mentality. PRC mei mei are actually very nice.

Yo bro, I run around naked.. with doors open.. I couldn't care less
I'm gonna let the bad news affect my daily life.. Today we have bombs, tomorrow we have SARS, next we have food poisoning or air contamination... so are we going to continue living happily or worried about the world is coming to an end ?

To get sinkies to change their mentality, I rather move the mountains.. as my wifey, LPPL.. gotto live with it... :o:(

Singapore envies Kiwi lifestyle

4:00 AM Tuesday Feb 9, 2010 The bait was better working hours, cheaper cars and housing - and in three weeks thousands from Singapore have registered their interest in living in New Zealand.
An Immigration New Zealand pilot project aimed at attracting Singaporean migrants has resulted in over 1000 registrations each week since it was launched last month, with 3565 potential immigrants having registered their interest in just three weeks.
Would-be migrants are told of comparatively cheaper housing, car ownership and a relaxed lifestyle - and those who registered their interest on newzealandnow.govt.nz received an email from Immigration telling them how to apply for relevant visas.
Immigration expert Paul Spoonley said the level of interest was "unexpected and fascinating".
"I think the draw for many Singaporeans is not so much the cheaper cars or housing, but the lower-stress environment and because New Zealand offers quality education in English," said Professor Spoonley, of Massey University.
"Singapore has a very competitive education system driven by Confucian values and what they think they will get here is a different education value system that offers a more well-rounded education for children."
Immigration New Zealand said the pilot was aimed at working holiday visitors and students, and not skilled migrants, but Professor Spoonley said the Singaporeans who had registered were likely to be either young families with young children, or those who were semi-retired.
Immigration told Singapore media that Singaporeans were targeted because Singapore and New Zealand had long-standing and friendly relations, and that Singapore was a "good demographic match for this campaign, in terms of English language proficiency and education levels, and there's already a strong tradition of studying overseas".
Singapore Club Auckland president Allan Yee said most Singaporeans regarded New Zealand not so much as a study destination but an "excellent place to retire".
"Most Singaporeans have a good retirement nest egg, and they think they will be able to get better-value housing and cars and stretch their money in New Zealand," said Mr Yee.
"I guess New Zealand also offers cheaper university education and that could be one reason why Singaporeans want to come, but Australian universities are still more popular for them."
Since 2001, 2978 Singaporeans have become permanent residents, but 1107, or 37 per cent, are no longer living here.
An Immigration spokesman said the agency did not yet have any information on Singaporeans who had come to New Zealand as a direct result of this pilot project, but it would be evaluated over the next few months.

You don't have any sisters, mother or female relatives?

In a way, its because of them that I think I'll go find a PRC mei mei. May sound bad, but my mum, sis, some of the female relatives have very sinkie mentality. I was glad I started living on my own since 17yo. The ones that doesn't have the sinkie mentality are actually the ones that have studied overseas.

OK. You sold me. How to apply? Btw, u know of any authentic ah neh teh tarik & prata in any parts of NZ cities?

Actually I am hearing alot of people interested in NZ these days. It might very well be a good choice due to its lower cost of living - and NZ ranked tops in quality of living too. I am sure you can find teh tarik and prata there because if I can find it in some backwater Oriental Deli in the middle of nowhere on a business trip to the USA or Canda, you can find it anywhere.

Actually what is sinkie female mentality. I always hear pple talk about this but don't really know. (just know it is a bad thing)

Lets see, where can I start,

1) Shopping, must find cheapest one, after finding cheapest one, must bargain. Will spend 1-2 hours in the shop over a $1 discount, point is not the discount, but the feeling of getting a discount. Must see if got free gift or not also. Most of the time, the free gift is more important then the item you want to get. Die die must get the free gift.

2) Go holiday, don't like to take holiday because its going to cost money. Must find right time to go holiday, cannot just anyhow take leave if not cannot earn enough money. Even if can afford to take a holiday and leave, also must find the cheapest accommodation, when arrive at destination. Don't like to visit the local tourist site, prefer to go shopping. See 1) above on shopping.

Below applies to Sinkie Exes I have.

3) Valentine day must have Prada, Gucci, LV. Must go eat at expensive restaurant so can tell their friends. Friends also did the same, so end up all telling the same story, going to the same restaurant and having the same bag. Handbag, big or small shows your "status", must be branded, cheong one cannot. If get less expensive bags then their friend will threaten you that you don't love them enough.

4) Must serve them like they are the queen. Go anywhere must have car, cannot take public transport. If no car, prepare to fork out taxi. Definitely must take taxi. Must buy a lot during shopping. See point 1) above again. But you fork out all the cash. Because of this, cheapest is not the consideration anymore. Branded is the criteria now, but will still be in store 1-2 hours over which dress don't make their bum look big. Will also consider if the colour/cutting will fit into their wardrobe, match their shoes, earring, necklace etc. Typically, will look around the store for 2-3 hours and come back to the first dress they see and buy it after trying out 5-10 other pieces.

I think axe can comment more on after they become your wife, I'm trying to avoid that stage now.

Tell those SINGAPORE ladies, want to boast here is how to boast that will make all the womenfolk in S'pore GREEN with ENVY that they might suffer an immediate STROKE.

Latest fad is not about having Prada Bag, eating at expensive restaurants, going for overseas holidays. Those are so common and almost everybody can have all the above.

The LATEST TREND is having an overseas PR or better yet a FOREIGN CITIZENSIP, MULTI-CITIZENSHIP better still. How many S'poreans can have that?

To add further salt to the wound, can add a LANDED PROPERTY with a higher build in area than all the CONDOs available in S'pore. Plus driving CONTINENTAL CARS like VolksWagen, BMW etc and storing all the family CARS (PLURAL NOUN) in a 3 CAR build in garage with indoor access to house. Most S'poreans can only afford to drive a JAPANESE or KOREAN CAR!!!! parked on an open driveway or underground common carpark in a condo.

Hmmm sounds like I'll do well going back to Sinkieland. Got Mini Cooper S, PR, can sponsor them if get married. Only thing missing is the landed property.
Then again, like I've said, I'll rather go China and find one.

Oei.. there is nothing wrong with sinkie females.. they are good under the PAP leadership.. but i have no comment if they ever leave the enclosed space :p I remembered Jackie Chan once commented on sinkie female actress.. you may like to ask him why ? heehee..

My wifey once said "NS" (2.5 yrs) is good for the boys.. it helps them to be more responsible and matured. I replied with a rebuttal : maids profession are good for SG women too.. it helps them to cook better, wash better and clean better.. heehee, and they are getting $500/mth much higher than my corporal pay then (abt $280/mth).. heehee..

To me marriage is not about love anymore.. it is about sharing the thick & thin, sharing responsibility and bringing up the kids & nurture them.

You can get a partner easily .. this doesn't mean she will go thru the thick & thin with you.. so the best is to get a lady with 34-22-34 "C" & try them out, heehee..

Good luck in your hunt..

Be forewarned. Too many Singaporeans will spoil the market.
For Sinkees whose only pasttime is shopping, NZ has a more well-rounded varied leisure.

I am moving there for retirement (if the cold weather does not cut into my bones)

Perth is no longer a cheap retiring place.

Pretty much the same as Canada.. you can die waiting for your number to be called.

It's great if you have an accident though as the bulk of expenses will be covered by ACC. The scheme covers everybody including tourists.

There is a waiting list for non elective surgical cases like hip replacement surgery etc that is 100% subsidised (FOC)
Waiting times for at the A&E dept (Christchurch) ain't as long as the ones at SGH or even Tan Tock Seng. I have been to both A&E depts in BOTH countries.
In Singapore the fee is an instant whooping $80 consultation charge alone, investigations/treatment etc are EXTRAS and it is still crowded like crazy.

There is a system for the A&E cases in NZ which are mainly refered (TRIAGED) by their GPs who deem it serious enough to be referred to the A&E and it is FREE (FOC), waiting is only long depending on the urgency of the cases.

Taking KIDNEY DIALYSIS cases. In Singapore, kidney patients have to still pay and make their way down to subsidised machines at NKF- a real hassle.

For NZ, the Health system T-loans a DIALYSIS machine to the patients to bring home and they are taught how to dialysed themselves in the comfort of their homes at night without the need to take time off work and waste time on travel. TREATMENT is FOC!!!!

One of the most powerful message that you can pass down to a citizen is that fact that its country will look after you no matter and without losing your dignity or to be considered a hardship case with a battery of questions that the medical social worker runs through with you. a feature of advanced countries. Even more embarrassing is the phone calls and verification checks the Singapore authorities undertake.

Its common knowledge that the needy with little income in Singapore hide their medical condition to avoid the embarrassment of being labelled a hardship case. Its common knowledge that gangrenous condition that is so advanced that they arrive in hospital to late to be saved ia common place. Imagine the pain that they endure while wondering where the money is going to come from.
