Sarawak and Sabah voters will block Azmin-led power grab, Amanah youth leader claims

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 24 — A top youth leader from Amanah believes Sarawak and Sabah’s multiracial parties will not back a purported plot to topple the Pakatan Harapan government by a faction led by PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali.
Condemning the parties involved as traitors of the people, Shazni Munir Mohd Ithnin said that Warisan and the Sarawakian Parties’ Coalition (GPS) will not risk its multiracial power base by aligning with Islamists PAS.

“This backdoor government that Azmin, Umno and PAS are trying to forge will fail because PAS is not accepted by the Sarawakian and Sabahan people,” he said in a statement.
“Without Warisan and GPS, the plot for a backdoor government has met a dead end. Thus we from Amanah Youth will persevere and remain loyal to protect the people’s mandate.”

GPS, Warisan and PAS are said to have joined a coalition to form a new federal government together with Bersatu, defectors from PKR led by Azmin, and Umno.

Leaders from the Borneo political parties were said to be among those granted an audience with the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong at the palace yesterday, but were visibly absent at a dinner attended by more than 100 MPs from the parties of the new coalition.
Aiman Athirah, head of Amanah Women wing, in a separate statement called Bersatu MPs and PKR defectors turncoats.
Echoing Shazni’s call for political parties to respect the mandate given to PH at the 14th general election, a new government formed through backdoor scheming will be “immoral.”
“Who these turncoats are have become more apparent, appearing without shame,” she said.
“They are proud that they can form a new government through immoral ways.”
So far no leaders from the parties involved have denied or admitted to the forming of a new coalition.
But last night PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was caught on video acknowledging that the prospect of PH collapsing is possible, describing the rapid political development as a “betrayal.”
Anwar is currently meeting with Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad at the latter’s residence in Seri Kembangan.
His wife and PKR Advisory Council chairman Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah, DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng and Amanah party president Mohamad Sabu, are also present, according to sources.

Terima Kasih DAP.

Provoking PAS — Mak Khuin Weng

JULY 15 — Everything in Malaysia is going haywire with the smallest of provocations threatening to erupt into a full blown racial issue.

Many have weighed in on this issue, but I feel there’s one piece of the puzzle that needs to be identified and discussed in a rational manner if we are ever going to address this racial issue, and this has to do with our two major opposition parties DAP and PAS.

DAP has been busy hammering PAS over all manner of alleged sins and PAS is slowly reciprocating the bashing. To the supporters of both parties, the words of their respective leaders ring true and the insolence of the other side shall be punished soon enough.

Our two biggest opposition parties — each representing a major racial group in Malaysia — is at loggerheads and their message to each other is that they will annihilate the other. This sort of disputes can easily come across as a provocative racial issue.

While I absolutely do not agree with the PAS political ideology (especially on Hudud), I am not blind to the power and influence they are politically. To anyone who doubts that PAS is a force to be reckoned with, all I can say is that they have forgotten that the first BERSIH rally — the rally that inspired the entire nation to rise up against BN — was only possible because of PAS.

That reported 100,000 participants for the first rally; that is 95 per cent PAS members. I was there and the number of Chinese and Indian participants was barely a handful. Every one of the members I interacted with at the first rally told me they were PAS members from Kelantan or Terengganu.

This is the PAS that opposed Umno. This is the PAS that DAP is trying to teach us to hate. This is the PAS that is now looking to join forces with Umno.

It is fine if you cannot sleep in the same bed — sit down and go through your disagreements one by one until you reach an amicable solution and move on. It is not fine when your disagreement is fuelling the hatred between Malays and Chinese.

DAP leaders may think they have overwhelming support and can afford to make PAS angry, but they forget that it is PAS that stands between them and Umno. If PAS joins forces with Umno, I am very certain all of us peace loving Malaysians will regret it.

I may not agree with PAS’s political struggle, but I can at least admire and respect them for opposing BN. Now, I’m not so sure PAS wants to oppose Umno anymore.

The Chinese are only kingmakers if the Malays are not united. Think about this carefully before you simply whack PAS and urge them to sleep with Umno. They just might.

Anwar ‘satisfied’ after meeting with Dr M, says PM agrees to continue reform agenda

PETALING JAYA, Feb 24 — PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said he is satisfied with the outcome of his “very good” meeting with the prime minister this morning, adding the latter had indicated that he would not bow down to those attempting to wrestle power away from Pakatan Harapan.
When asked if the topic of a new government was discussed, Anwar kept mum, and later revealed that Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad did agree to the principles of the reform agenda during the meet at the latter’s residence in Seri Kembangan.

“It is sufficient for me to only disclose at this point that (it was) a good meeting; I was moved by his attitude and position towards the changes that need to be done.
“I am satisfied with his position that principles must be prioritised and the reform agenda must be continued.

“We should not bow down to the hordes of those who want to wrestle power without advocating the reform agenda,” he said.

Anwar did not reveal what else was discussed with Dr Mahathir, but assured that an announcement would be made after he chairs PKR’s Central Leadership Council meeting which is currently ongoing.
This comes after Anwar, along with PKR Advisory Council chairman Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah, DAP Secretary-General Lim Guan Eng and Amanah party President Mohamad Sabu all met with Dr Mahathir following speculation of a major government and coalition reshuffle.
The quartet were earlier sighted arriving at the Prime Minister’s Office in Putrajaya and leaving shortly after when it was learnt that Dr Mahathir was not there.
This is in the wake of political uncertainty gripping the nation following a spate of unexpected and emergency meetings by various political parties yesterday, all said to be part of a plan to form a new coalition government, effectively ending the existence of ruling coalition Pakatan Harapan (PH).
Separate meetings by Dr Mahathir’s Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM), Umno, PAS, Gabungan Parti Sarawak Parti Warisan Sabah and the PKR faction aligned to Datuk Seri Azmin Ali took place yesterday, with the day concluding at the Sheraton Hotel in Petaling Jaya where most of the leaders from the various parties attended a private dinner.
Leaders from these parties were also granted an audience with the Yang DiPertuan Agong yesterday, presumably to seek his consent over the formation of a new government coalition.
Despite all the rumours, no politician has come out to deny the possible rehash of the government’s coalition.
It was suggested that the new coalition had come after a heated PH presidential council meeting on Friday, where Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s PPBM threatened to quit the coalition if coalition colleagues continued to push for the transition of power to Anwar sooner rather than later.

I like to see how the voters react to this treacherous move. Getting BN and PAS in. Well done. Fireworks for sure.
The people already voted their district MP.
Now this is all about who be the PM or to nominate new PM. That's why the grouping to change to fit those power hungry guy eg. Mahathir and Anwar. Both are old man still want hang on power. This can all be avoided if the election loser team continue support the winner PM wholeheartedly.

Then everyone can concentrate solve the Malaysia problems
