it will do taxi drivers good if this YF bitch is punished by the law. the public at least will be aware that they can't anyhow take advantage of cabbies. I also noticed that the media news has a great impact on how people perceive cabbies.
The cabby gave other cabbies a bad name for not helping with the luggage. Sooner or later someone else will complain and company will terminate him.
He also spoils the image of many other cabbies who will willingly offer to carry the luggage for you. For your info, I usually turn them down anyway since it's a small carry-on but as a service provider you should at least offer.

Reclusive Top Mathematician Turns Down Prize, Again

Reclusive Russian mathematician Grigory Perelman, who shot to global fame after claiming to solve the seemingly intractable Poincare conjecture, has refused another prize for the achievement.
The Clay Mathematics Institute (CMI) said Thursday that Perelman informed the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based research center that he would not accept its million-dollar prize.
"I have turned down (the award)," Perelman told the Interfax news agency by telephone. "The main reason is disagreement with the organised mathematics community. I do not like their decisions, I consider them unfair."
"I think that the contribution of American mathematician (Richard) Hamilton in solving this problem is no less than mine."
On June 8-9, the institute held a conference in Paris to celebrate Perelman's resolution of the Poincare conjecture, a riddle on properties of multi-dimensional space that had perplexed mathematicians since it was coined by Frenchman Henri Poincare in 1904.
The prize was announced after teams of experts examining his findings found Perelman's solution to be flawless.
CMI said it would announce in the fall how the prize money turned down by Perelman "will be used to benefit mathematics."
Perelman, who is also known as Grisha Perelman, already has a long history of turning down awards and not showing up at award ceremonies.
He published his findings on the Internet in 2002 and 2003, and by 2006, Perelman was awarded the mathematics world's version of a Nobel prize, the Fields Medal, as experts said he had indeed worked it all out.
But the 44-year-old mathematician became the first person to turn down a Fields Prize, awarded every four years since 1936, saying he did not want to be a figurehead for the mathematics community from which he says he has withdrawn.
The Poincare conjecture is regarded as one of the most important questions in topology, a geometry-related branch of mathematics which deals with spatial properties.
In simple layman's terms, it asserts that any shape without a hole can be stretched or shrunk into a sphere.

MEDIACORP host Quan Yifeng spoke to police for 6 hours on Friday over her alleged 'act of aggression' with a ComfortDelGro taxi driver.
Ms Quan was seen arriving at Bedok Police Division Headquarters at 3.45pm, several days after she made headlines for a dispute with the driver, identified only as Mr Chan.
She left close to 10pm, and declined to say why she had spent so long in the police station making her statement. Ms Quan, 35, has hired criminal lawyer Subhas Anandan to represent her.
In a statement on Tuesday, ComfortDelGro said Mr Chan was physically attacked by the television host. According to the statement, the fare meter was ripped out during the altercation,
In a Wanbao report, Mr Chan was quoted as saying that the star lost her temper after he did not help her load her luggage into his taxi and asked 'what sort of service attitude is this?'. He claimed Ms Quan also swore at him in Hokkien, kicked him in the groin and locked herself in the taxi for 15 minutes.
Ms Quan denied his allegations and hit back by saying that he was rude, drove recklessly. She also claimed that Mr Chan slammed the taxi door on her, hitting her on the back and leg.
Police said they are investigating the incident.

Be patient. Due process of the law takes time. Quan Yifeng is represented by Subhas Anandan. Good! Bill her to the max. The taxi driver is represented by a Public Prosecutor, f.o.c. Quan is lucky that she's born without testicles, otherwise she'd be joining Oliver Fricker in the caning chamber.
