Roy made a mistake in agreeing to pay the $5K. His lawyer will take it as an admission of guilt. The onus now is for Ravi to show that such is not the case and Roy never admitted to slurring the PMs character. Roy should then make it clear that Transgender Loong has himself made callous statements about buying support and fixing opposition and that his refusal to provide consistent info on the use of CPF funds is itself the cause of suspicion and hence Roy is justified with his fair comment when linking the issue of CPF with CHC. The battle from Roy's front must be attack and attack and attack Transgender Loong's credibility. There is ample evidence of Transgender Loong's lack of credibility starting from his statement to buy support and fix adversaries to his party's inconsistent answers to the CPF issue.
Roy was right to be contrite. You will never win against the PM. What view the courts will take on the PM wasting the court's time without talking further to Roy will be interesting. Not only Singapore but the whole world is watching. Not watching the PM but watching our judiciary.
