You are like the pap. You need forumners to lie so that the truth is suppressed and traffic is high
It's the other way round. Traffic has dropped because the oppo brigade has accepted the fact that the PAP is the best.

To be fair, can anyone start a thread about the confessions of an opposition supporter too?
If pap supporter life can ended up like this I wonder what worse could have come to opposition supporters.

All the surveys by established and respected organisations point to the fact that Singapore is tops in many areas.
The problem with sinkies like yourself is that you don't know how lucky you are. You'd realise it pretty quickly if you spent a couple of years living in a country like NZ where the government is unable to solve the most basic of problems because the country is simply too poor.

Last night I had the privilege to meet Mr Lau, a staunch PAP supporter.
Mr Lau is the mid 70s. He had primary school education but was determined and knew that by joining the pap, he wld be able to get many privileges. He lives at AMK Ave 10 and had been a staunch supporter of the pap. When he was young and active, he participated in many pap activities and was accorded many privileges and given many appreciation certificates by the pap. He was influential and had many friends.
Because of his involvement with pap, he got a good salary despite his lack of education. Life was good. His son joined as an SOF regular in the SAF. He praised the pap.
Yesterday, when he met me, he was a man full of sorrows. He had been sick for abt 10years and was not able to be active in pap grassroots. Initially his grassroots friends still kept in touch with him. But as his sickness got worse, they deserted him. PAP and his grassroots friends are no more with him. Now his comfort is his family members
He has been jobless for more than 15years. His son is very sick and is unable to hold a job. He resorted to renting out a room in his AMK flat to get monthly income.
Life is tough for him now. Unlike the days when he was an active pap supporter, he now has to count every cent.
He told me he regrets serving the pap blindly and neglected his friends. He is a frustrated man and have no way out.
He knows now that PAP used him and spoke to him nicely when they wanted him to serve, to reach out and to speak up for the pap. He knows now that the pap used him when he was young and healthy. He now knows that pap dumps him when he is not useful to the pap.
He wished he had lived his life differently.
I appreciate Mr Lau for his truthfulness and his sharing. How many more Singaporeans will face a future like Mr Lau is facing now? How many PAP supporters will regret serving pap like Mr Lau?
Tell that to the pap...
PAP:
1. Squandered S$300m on YOG when its budget was S$100m. How did PAP get it so badly wrong?
2. Brought in millions of 3rd world unqualified, unskilled trash instead of real foreign talents
3. Increased SG suicide rate from 271 in 1995 to 467 in 2012. An increase of 70%.
4. Teenage suicide rate in SG doubled from in 2015
5. Increased GST, claiming that it was to help the poor
6. Denied that those had to collect cardboards are poor
7. Claimed that those who wiped hawker centre tables did it out of boredom
8. Claimed that there are no poor people in SG
9. Declared that every Singapore can afford healthcare in SG
10. Claimed that PA is politically neutral and serves all Singaporeans and every SG political party regardless of affiliation
11. Fumbled big time in the Sports Hub concept and operations, turning it into a white elephant
12. Mishandled the maintenance and operation of MRT and LRT lines
13. Mishandled the influx of cheap foreigners and endangering the future reliability of our lifts and integrity of our buildings
14. Sued ordinary Singaporeans who dared voice out against bad govt policies, the latest is the POHA against Dr Ting
15. Opened of two casinos
16. Online gambling ban exemption for two cronies, SG Pools and Turf Club
17. Profiteering from poor, sick, aged Singaporeans
18. Favoured foreigners, discriminated against Singaporeans
19. NS for Singaporeans, jobs for foreigners
20. Meted out lighter sentence for foreign offenders, heavier sentence for Singaporeans
21. Gave away SG citizenship to 3rd world foreigners like toilet paper
22. Accused patriotic Singaporeans of xenophobia when they objected to Filipinos wanting to celebrate their Independence Day in a public area in Downtown Orchard road
23. Resorted to amend SG's Constitution to prevent a popular Singaporean patriot from contesting the Elected Presidency
24. Displayed arrogance, lack of accountability, lack of transparency when asked to explain their mistakes
25. Accused Singaporeans of adopting a blame culture when the pap was criticised for bad mistakes
26. Used GRC as a disguise to bring in sub standard cronies
27. Started $2 company AIM to subvert Opposition Party
28. Reneged on promise to return Singaporeans CPF when they reach 55yrs old
29. Covered up structural defects of MRT trains
30. Suspicious awarded contracts to non bid tenderers
31. Turned SG into a junta
32. Arbitrarily and unilaterally manipulated the CPF Retirement Account to deny Singaporeans their hard earned savings
33. Covered up the Hep C outbreak at SGH for several months despite the loss of 8 lives
34. Used law to harass patriotic Singaporeans, eg Dr Ting
35. Used law to intimidate true blue Singaporeans eg Roy Ngerng
36. Used law to charge concerned citizens eg Han Hui hui
37. PM sued an unemployed Singapore
38. Honoured SPF Officers who fled from stone throwing foreigners
39. Condoned SPF Officers who braved themselves to handcuff Singapore children for alleged petty crime
Where did these "respected organisations" get their "facts and statistics" from? How did they arrive at their conclusions and findings? Are such arbitrary conclusions correct and reliable?
If you do not know the answer, let me reveal another truth to you
Reasons why a forum dies:
1. Speaks lies
the relatively affordable hospitalization tab in sg has been discussed to death on other threads. here's a recent one.
http://www.sammyboy.com/showthread....-Bill!-Medishield-Life-Pay-720-only!-PAP-Best!
I dont hear you laughing. I sense your frustration that I reveal the truths. You prefer to live in your "pap lied" world like what Mr Lau did. Now he knows the truth. Your turn will come too. Stay in SG and live long enough for your body to get sick
As long as I'm around you will not be banned because you speak the truth.
The PAP haters are blind and illogical. They simply cannot accept that Singapore is ranked highly by the rest of the world. They question the validity of the figures with no data to the contrary whatsoever.
Even WHO isn't trusted. They'll accuse the PAP of feeding false information without a shred of evidence that this is happening.
They then accuse those who appreciate the PAP of "lying".
An Australian hospital with 24-hour stroke care refused to perform a life-saving procedure on a patient because he arrived 45 minutes after business hours.
Sydney's Prince of Wales Hospital administrators would not allow Nick Taousanis to undergo an endovascular clot retrieval in August, despite clinicians being on-site and ready to operate, because the support team had finished their shift, his family were told.
Taousanis died four days later.
Let Mr Lau's regrets be a lesson to other pap supporters. I am sure there are many old and sick pap supporters who now know the truth.
I hope these pap supporters will share their lives too
