I don't read it as offensive but factual. We are all pendatangs just like Chinese across the Causeway. But I must say we are highly productive, economically active and industrious as compared to the orang aslis, bumis and now the FTs! Yellow genes are superior. Even the whites know that!

The indigenous people of the region have the coconut problem. Food is plentiful along the coast and the lands are fertile. Weather is fine without extreme highs and lows. In other words, it's easy to survive here.

So genetically they are not predisposed to hard work and striving just to stay alive. Life is easy, go relax and take it easy under the coconut trees and enjoy the sunset... Every day!
