Singaporeans living JB "Prohibited Immigrants" and barred from entry.

Stayed in Malaysia for only for 1-2 weeks and exited for 4-5 days and yet you kenna?? That’s bad. Thanks for sharing.

That’s right, daily in-out is a lot better than staying for long period. A Malaysian immigration officer is the one who advised against staying for long period if one doesn’t have long term pass. Talking about “stealing their jobs”. That was why I mentioned that we will use our simple way to...

Singaporeans living JB "Prohibited Immigrants" and barred from entry.

There are many people who actually live in Singapore but go to Johor for all sorts of reasons almost daily. That’s why they are not so particular about daily visits.

You may think that it’ll be worse to travel in and out of Johor daily compared to staying for 20-30 days in Malaysia before leaving. You’re wrong about that. Staying for too many days is the first thing that triggers their attention. Followed by the number of days you stay out of Malaysia...

That’s right. - It’s immigration officers’ job. - They have absolute right to deny entry. - Don’t need to take it personally. - Be extra humble when talking to them(or to anyone). - They’re more concern about foreigners working in their country without permit(Singaporeans may see this as silly...

Singaporeans living JB "Prohibited Immigrants" and barred from entry.

For your case, it's really simple to avoid being questioned. It's the number of days you stay out of Malaysia that matters. (Minimum 3 days, means if you leave on Monday, return only on or after Thursday)

Same as Singaporeans in Malaysia, problem comes when tMalaysian stay in Singapore for 60 days, then leave and return to Singapore within the same day so as to stay for another 60 days. Repeat this visa-run a few times and they will definitely be questioned by Singapore.

Singaporeans living JB "Prohibited Immigrants" and barred from entry.

To avoid being questioned, here are a few pointers: 1) Do not stay for too many days without exiting Malaysia. If you stay for a week or longer, leave Malaysia for at least 3 days before returning. 2) If it's not possible for you to stay outside Malaysia for 3 days, you'll have to travel in and...

From my experience, if they have never been questioned, it's because they travel to Singapore and back to Johor almost daily. (Note: Avoid super low traffic hours like 2am in the morning).

To be fair, it's immigration officers' job, nothing personal. Singapore's immigration dept. does the same to foreigners who make use of tourist visas to live in Singapore for long term.

Many or not many, I’m not sure. I’ve met quite a few Singaporean families with kids in international schools in Iskandar Puteri. One Singaporean family I met recently just opened a butchery at Eco Boulevard. Parents send all their 3 kids to one of the most expensive international schools in...
