Sore Loser Tan Kin Lian takes every opportunity to take potshots at his former employer.
Voucher fraud
'I hope FairPrice gets to the bottom of this and makes changes.'
MR TAN KIM LAM: 'I am astonished that FairPrice, Singapore's largest supermarket chain, was hit by such an incident ('Two held for using bad cheque to buy $500k of vouchers'; yesterday). There are probably two questions being asked by the public. First, why was such a large sum in vouchers allowed to be settled at FairPrice's head office? Second, why did the relative youth of the suspects, aged 19 and 22, who were transacting such a big sum, not trigger alarm bells? I hope FairPrice gets to the bottom of this and makes the necessary changes to protect a great franchise that Singaporeans have grown up with and which has been a part of our lives.'
