To all Sg fugitives in Thailand : Is Ramkamhaeng a nice place to live ?

It's not like the CID windscreen decal bought from beach road :D
More like the datuk badge they have in Malaysia....

I always get wave on and saluted at road blocks etc...for good measure I place a peak cap at the back....got stopped and questioned once because I wanted to enter a carpark but did not know royalty was inside....a call to the bil settled it....:D

Wow, power man!

Btw, Phuket or Koh Samui for 4 days break? Pros and cons of each? Am tired of Bkk.

Ok, points noted with thanks. Never heard of Koh Chang though.

Phuket is not expensive generally, unlike it's commonly painted out to be. The only thing expensive is tuk tuk. Food and hotel or longer term apartment accommodation are reasonable. Cheap songtheao "mini bus" plies one route between Phuket town and Patong Beach only. Elsewhere, it's all tuk tuk. You'd have to be able to bargain. Speak English and you're dead carrothead. In any case, even a local Thai speaking Thai, it'd be quite expensive.

Phuket is one of the place in Thailand practising same price system regardless of Thai or foreigners. Phuket people will always think that if a Thai can afford to go to Phuket, they are consider rich. One of the reason Phuket "looks"expensive is also due to the supplies have to incur additional transport/logistic expense for goods to be transported from BKK or nearby larger cities. Other islands also same.

Raka Thai and Raka Dtang Chat diow gan (Thai and Foreigner all same price)

Does anyone know why imitation goods are so rampant in Thailand ? Brands like Lacoste, Nautica, Ralph Lauren and even Adidas are everywhere going for less than 300 baht.

The Lacoste T-shirts are as good as the real thing. They imitation is so complete that even the buttons carry the logo, not to mention the wrapping. The adidas shirt is even better. The neck where it shows the size of the shirt states that material is made in Singapore ! The wrapping is adidas wrapping with ziplock.

So is Thailand doing OEM for Lacoste and Adidas ?

:D :D :D

I prefer to go to satho parties with the warriors in red villages in Udon, Khon Kaen, Ubon ;)

As for Isaan women, I think Bangkok prettier although I can always go find my Khun Tae in Pattaya.

Then you must come to Pattaya more often. Pattaya is the official unofficial undisputed capital of Issan.:D

i only know Guy Laroche was doing OEM last time....so Guy Laroche stuff were cheap. Ladies will know to buy Triumph underwear.....not sure about Lacoste but their boutiques are selling cheaper than Singapore also.....about B$1500 for a polo T shirt......

Thanks for the alert, bro. Will be cautious if I visit Phuket.

Pattaya is also the asian moscow........russian mafia controls Pattaya......
Yes, other than Thai and English signboards, the next most common signboard are in Russian. The Russian presence in Pattaya has been around for sometime. Mainly in the property and tour businesses. Most can't speak a word of Thai and English. Good thing about Russians is they mind their own business and so there is not much conflicts with the Thai or other nationalities.
