The nature vs nurture debate...I personally feel a good mentor to learn from in the form of a relative or friend, a good network of reliable contacts and lastly, rock hard determination are more important than a degree in the internet age..and of course understand three basic financial rules: power of compounding, buy low sell high and lastly, availibility of time and money

If you do what you love, you will be successful.

Ignore the fearmongers and naysayers e.g. "Will I have enough for retirement?" etc.

The problem is that what you love isn't a constant. What you loved doing in your 20s could become your pet hate in your 30s because your value systems have changed.

When I was young and an idealist I genuinely wanted to help the poor and the disadvantaged. Now I say "fuck the poor they deserve their lot" because I've a far better grasp of human nature compared to 3 decades ago.

My time no mobile phone. Only got to rely on charm and sweet talking.
Which reminds me of 1 sweet (and saucy) young receptionist whom I called her on her landline. Kns, it was her old man's hotline for 4D bets. :geek:
So time out, had another landline to follow through.
