The courtyard cafe has always been the magnet of forum traffic precisely because it is the free-for-all place. The Mods are already doing a good job keeping spammers out of the way and allowing free flow of discussion.
One word from you, and JW5 toned it down. Can't you see that all of us are prepared to abide by your rules? The only think I am asking is that your mod Peppertail turn it down two or three notches and not be so eager to move threads to the rubbish heap or merge threads that carry unique perspectives merely because the topic is similar to another thread.
We are prepared to play nice. All we ask is that one of your mods doesn't hang over our heads. Is that too much to ask?

I have never moved threads that were derailed by personal squabbeling. I know it always happens and im fine with it.
I moved those that were created solely for the purpose of carrying out feuds or targetted at specific forumers. To me these are very trivial and inane matters which should fought out in the Trivia folder.
Some are still in the Trivia folder, other were moved back to the cafe. Fine with me. I respect Sam's ultimate decision.

Pairing off two forummers against each other may seem personal. But read carefully between the lines. It is not a senseless personal attack. There are nuances involved. There was a subtle point being made. Surely you can tell the difference between a senseless attack and a subtle nuance of satire and mockery.
Miss Peppertail, my point is ... it's not just one two threads. Its a whole bunch of threads. One or two threads, we can still accept. A whole bunch? That's when we have to speak out.
All of the threads you linked are still in the Trivia folder. I'm am obviously not the only mod who believe they belong there. Why are they suddenly disputed? Just to win this argument?
