I thought this would have been able to be done long ago and will last for at least 50 years down the road with the amount of money Christmas Ho had LOST?

You don't even need 50% tax rate to fund this! HoHoHoHoHo

NZ, with an abundance of resources spends the following annually :

  • Social security and welfare: $26.3 billion
  • Health: $13.9 billion
  • Education: $13.4 billion

That's almost $54 BILLION per year.

If Singapore had implemented what has been suggested over the last 50 years, It would have cost $2,680 BILLION dollars.

Your cost accounting needs brushing up.

But they are not paradise. The "poor" are constantly complaining that they don't have enough to feed their kids. The sick complain that life saving drugs are not made available to them. Students are constantly up in arms about the size of their cost of their student loans.

"Poverty" is an issue at every election and child poverty is of particular concern.

It is impossible to enforce welfare rules because intent is impossible to prove. One of the requirements of welfare payments in NZ is that the recipient must be actively looking for a job. The bludgers apply for jobs and go for interviews as a matter of course but for some strange reason, they are never offered a job. We all know why.

In Sinkieland, Sinkies apply for jobs and go for interviews as a matter of course but for some strange reason, they are never offered a job. We all also know why. :oIo:
