I can fully understand and empathise with these concerns because it has been a difficult ride - bumpy, stormy and causing anxiety from time to time. But we are tackling these problems, building more flats, improving our public transport, managing the inflow of foreign workers and immigrants. It will take a while to solve these problems because they are big and complicated issues, but we are heading in the right direction and things will gradually get better.

Hong Kong is a SAR with its own Basic Laws. The Chief Executive is the representative of the Hong Kong people. The Chief has to make decisions based on Basic Laws, nothing to do with Beijing.

When Beijing set down all the laws for the provinces, how many laws are followed and carried out by the provincial governments, esp regarding land sales. Who make the REAL decisions? Be careful of collateral damage!!!
