I will not recite the Pledge on this coming National Day..

I was among the crowd that proudly recited the Pledge on that hot balmy night at the Serangoon Stadium last May... It will be the only Pledge that I will recite this year...

Yeah man....No other national day pledge can fght the one at Serangoon Stadium. They never had goodie bags. The one ones in front were very cooperative to sit down so as to allow the ones standing behind to see. The home-made props , banners and flash cards were no less creative and entertaining than those designer-made ones used during national day parade. That pledge was like a lion's roar that carries a strong conviction and sense of pride.

I saw a lot of people their faces filled with emotion and tears welling their eyes as they said the pledge.

I will say the pledge. Not for the fucking NDP. I say it because I still have pride left in me as a Singaporean. I say my pledge for all my fellow brothers and sisters. And I say the pledge also for the fellow forummers here feeling the same sense of pride we need to take back in current times.

I was there when Low thia kiang led the Serangoon stadium crowd to say pledge on May 5 2006.

It's like I've always said the pledge as a schoolboy ... but on that night, I finally understood what it meant.

hi there

1. bing bro!
2. that is the sin spriit, clear & inspirational
3. not some fanfare, loud music and a flock of expensive sheep on display.

i will say it, if they update it to include protecting the jobs of FT. Giving out PR and pink IC to tom dick and harry.

What pledge? LKY has already said it's just an aspiration. We the citizens of Singapore, aspire to be one united people...

SBF bros...we need to work together to bring us back to where we were. The MIWs are doing us no favour by encouraging the FTs into Singapore with no let up. More are coming as we celebrate ND.

It really touches the heart, what was missing was someone to bring the Flag of Singapore & shout "Majullah SINgapura" & MERDEKA!.

well u guys can have the chance to recite the pledge again this year at the WP national day dinner. I believe can get the ticket at HGTC office.
