There's no difference between one Nobel Prize to the next.

Initially, Economics was not even considered for an award. It is still awarded by the Swedish Central Bank, I think.

The methodology for selection and awarding is the same. Arbitrary.

It's like how Shin Lim won America's Got Talent and then subsequently, America's Got Talent: Champions when he was not probably a Yankee citizen and desperately wants to prove he is a Yank.

The methodology is just arbitrary and vague. Same goes for any medals, awards, titles, or prizes. You have some judges, who pick whoever they want and there you go, you have a winner of XYZ award, ABC prize, EFG medal or PQR championship.

There is no particular reason that XYZ should win this year's Nobel prize in Physics, Chemistry or Medicine more than ABC or PQR.

What is considered true today in Physics, Chemistry or Medicine may not be considered true tomorrow.

In Economics, there is hardly any three economists who agree on one single topic.
