As I had said, when this phenomenon exist, that phenomenon also exists; when this phenomenon doesn't exist, that phenomenon also doesn't exist. This principle does not assume the existence of the inviolable intrinsic essence of an individual.
'All phenomena' refers to the five aggregates of form(body), feelings, perceptions, fabrications/intentions and consciousness. And why are the five aggregates not-self? Because none of them stays constant. They are fleeting and fickle. What is fleeting and fickle is undesirable and stressful. What is fleeting and fickle, undesirable and stressful cannot be the self. That is why they are not-self.
