'Urine eggs' considered a delicacy in China city

Century is also made in Thailand. It's called ไข่เยี่ยวม้า (khai yiao maa) i.e. horse urine egg. Two myths? Chinese and Thai co-conspiracy? The makers won't tell you the truth outright. Either you know or you don't know. How do you turn egg white and yellow to black to be preservable for decades, let's not say centuries?

Yah, it was horse urine. That's what I have heard too.

At least agree with this one. We heard of breast cancer, lung cancer, brain cancer, etc. But never penis cancer.

..............

Some modern practitioners claim that urine or urea has anti-cancer property.

.................

Whatever, anyway, I still like century egg with Cantonese pork porridge or Teochew duck porridge,

Like the century or milenium egg, those in Pinoyland also loves eating rotten eggs. Cannot remember the name.

They claim it is good for sexual prowess.

What about we in Singapore?

Shouldn't we also have something that can be synonymous with Uniquely Singapore or our half century old rulers.

Malaysia has laid claim on bak kut teh, rojak and batik.

Readers please contribute your ideas and have it patented so that some other will not claim it as theirs.

Bakkutteh was co-invented by early Malaysian and Singaporean Chinese immigrants when the British banned dog meat. It's hard to say which side invented it first.

Batik and sarong kebaya were clearly Indonesian by origin, adopted by Malaysian and Singaporean Malays as common regional cultural costumes, and later adapted by immigrant Chinese, especially Peranakans, too.
