Venerable Hong Choon Memorial Hall

A tree without its roots will very soon wither away. KMSPKS embarked on a memorial hall to commemorate the late great Venerable Seck Hong Choon.


Completed in 2004, it houses offices on the first floor, the kitchen and the dining hall on the second, a meditation hall on the third and the “Hall of No Form” on the fourth. The dining hall, known as the “Hall of Five Contemplations”, is not a hall of earthly culinary pleasures, but embodies the monastic attitude as taught by the Buddha towards food as a sustenance for one’s holy life towards Nirvana
