Two new infraction categories - Please take note

Dear bros, I’m the moron that added this category to the infraction list. I see the boss’ point for this category, it is better than getting his point…(I’m a bit worried about his bicycle seat).

personally, i see where you coming from when you write your post. it could be just that you din noe, i certainly don't expect someone to google & research for one hour before writing a reply. as i said, this is a casual forum.

i just wonder what else in future will be categorised as infractable. poor english? or like me, just type without care for punctuation or using caps where necessary?

I remembered in schools, teachers used to tell us "there is no such thing as a stupid question."

however, in Ah Leong's forum, there is such thing as a stupid reply / post.

Based on the perception of those who have infraction powers. I don't want to use the rep system as the point deductions are permanent and a loss of too many points can result in a member being stuck in moderation forever.

Infractions are the best way as they are transparent, the infraction is logged and the points expire after 10 days.

Ok, it's your call. Let's have a trial on it .

Point 1, i agree! I just got infracted for messing up the quotes, see, no complains! :D

That's an excellent idea. Let me mull over it before I make a decision.

I got a pile of books thrown into my face for asking a stupid question in school. It taught me to think carefully before asking again.

What you experienced in your school is probably the reason why there are so many stupid questions being asked nowadays.

yes...to me the stupidest question is ....the question that was never asked.

You just kill the curiousity quotient of a person by making it harder for him/her to ask questions.

Similar logic to posting here...with my previous stated caveats.

I'd agree with that when applied to a 5 year old. This forum is supposedly full of adults.

Are you telling me that I have to answer questions like "What's the best country to emigrate to" or "What's the best car to buy" without dishing out a torrent of abuse first???

Teachers always say that, but if you do ask them stupid questions, you get F by them.:D

you could ignore the post or rubbish it...abusing the guy could work too. However if he kept on asking after that then infract.

so adults are not meant to be curious?

u might as well add a line : forumer are legally held responsible for statements they made.

you have the ignore button or simply don't bother to answer if you deem a certain question insulting to your intellectual capability to give a reply. thats free speech.

by having infraction even if it means a slight slap on the wrist is going in the direction of PAP way of managing the media.

agree with you ..some of them just wants to trolling around and act stupid purposely . cannot discuss anything .

Ignoring deprives me of the fun of pouring scorn and ridicule on the member concerned.

Infractions add an extra dimension to the forum. It's like a yellow card in soccer... one side roars in support... the other curses the referee. It makes the game so much more exciting and also ensures that players can't simply kick their opponents in the balls without consequences.

look, this is your turf, you r free to set whatever rules you see fit.

But i think with this latest rule, there is no such thing as free speech in the forum no more, not even in the original folder.
