Only a handful of members can issue infractions. They are



All are mature and level headed so the scenario where members are being infracted to death just for expressing a radical opinion isn't very likely.

infractions don't hurt. most forummers usually clear off those infractions, not kenna banned within the specified time period.

getting rep points deducted might hurt for some forummers.

This applies everywhere not just the original folder. It's actually not new but I've been adding custom infractions along these lines so I thought I might as well formalise the two categories so that others with infraction power can apply them too.

Here's an example. The moron suggested that a patient with major trauma from a serious road accident could be taken to KK [a maternity hospital] because it's nearer.

That is a display of extreme ignorance AND stupidity. It's like suggesting that if your car's having problems, try taking it to a bicycle shop if it's nearer to see whether the bike mechanic can fix it.

Dear bros, I’m the moron that added this category to the infraction list. I see the boss’ point for this category, it is better than getting his point…(I’m a bit worried about his bicycle seat).

However, in my post, I did acknowledge that KK was a women’s hospital. I was trying to say that in cases of emergency, a fully equipped and manned A&E should treat all genders. Again I repeat from my post “saving a life should be priority”. Ok, I’ve just checked, KK only has a Children’s Emergency so they don’t have a full A&E (hey, I brought my son there before, I didn’t know it was only for children and not a full A&E).

Btw, on behalf of newbies, is there a complete “infractable” list for reference? I’ve gone through the FAQ and questions and cannot find anything. My guess is that you will tell me it’s all in the boss’ head. I’m ok with that which means we’ll just have to be more careful with our postings (as if the points will grant us some benefits) . I don’t like to be told I’m wrong for something without knowing that they are wrong in the first place. Also shouldn’t I be excused for being the first BEFORE the rule came out? (trying my luck here, I guess not……). Life goes on……..

Dear boss, wrt your example above, if my car breaks down, I will NOT send to your bike mechanic for sure. He might put the hand brake on the driver’s seat….:p

its ok bro...no need to feel bad or anything. Your post helped you and some others learn something new today...and that is part of the forum fun.

The post may have been ' stupid ' to those who are familiar with this sort of thing but they have to remember that no one knows everything.

If we begin to become overly cautious as to what we can or shouldnt post then we lose the fun coming in here.

Of course the caveat is that you or anyone dont consistently post idiotic stuff or stuff meant to hurt

Based on the perception of those who have infraction powers. I don't want to use the rep system as the point deductions are permanent and a loss of too many points can result in a member being stuck in moderation forever.

Infractions are the best way as they are transparent, the infraction is logged and the points expire after 10 days.
