NZ is a known earthquake risk zone. There is also a huge risk of volcanic eruptions, unexpected thermal steam discharge, sudden weather changes, high winds and last but not least, the possibility that a Maori high on Meth might attack you along the way and steal all your stuff and rape your women.

For safety, all risks must be assessed and managed accordingly. We don't know what was done by TKPS. For all we know, TKPS might have done a wonderful job. So don't jump the gun and speculate. Let the COI do its job and present its findings, observations, deductions, opinions and recommendations.

The money spent on the COI cant prevent an earthquake but it can enable the COI to draw out the mistakes made by MOE and the schools and prevent them from making the same mistakes in future.

If no COI, many mistakes would be swept under the carpet and no one is wiser.
