So i shld just call ur kind cheena? But cheena just a general term. Cos PRC also we call them cheena. So if i call u Tng lang, sekali they reply back in Mandarin.... i am lost?
Honestly, I prefer if you call me in Malay. Adik atau abang depending on age or Kawan. Saudara or sahabat also fine by me. It's appropriate.

New generation don't understand T'ng anymore. And as you can see from this forum, quite a few not fond of Tiongland.

基本上 只要係有良知嘅地球人都會反共反中

仲未計外星人,如果有,我睇都係反共反中

My adopted cheena bro spoke to his mother in tiochew cos his mother cant speak Mandarin. So if dialect is cheena mother tongue, wat abt language written? Mandarin kan?
nope. not at all. Written language has not changed. Been the same for a long time. Different places will call it differently, but meaning the same as long as you can read it. That's why old China find literacy so important. Cannot communicate outside area without written language.

That one I don't know. I try not to speak Mandarin because I wish to be true to my roots. Also because I always go Malaysia, Malay is important too.

for a good part of the history that's relevant to us. Of course 5000 years ago it will have changed till now. But for the longest time, it's the same. Never changed.

edit : Actually come to think of it, I understand a little bit of why the rest viewed as dialects and Mandarin official language. Sinkieland always taught Chinese characters with Mandarin. Never taught it with other dialects. So people get the impression official language was always Mandarin and it was Mandarin characters. Not true. Characters never changed. Mandarin was assembled from Beijing DIALECT.

I give you easy way to test. Your friend surname is what? You ask him to write the character down and ask him to say in both Teochew and Mandarin. Go and see if the character changes.

mass importation of trash. never works well. those fuckers don't understand local culture. Early Chinese, Malay and Indians been getting along since 1800s and developed a way of relating to each other. You bring in these new species, the ecosystem changes.

really dunno man... really dunno...

maybe loong and gang think MRT and void deck not enough human shit, HDB not enough China flags, food courts not enough 江边城外 country not enough crime, locals not enough unemployment.... Please feel free to add.

To build a sizeable, self sufficient domestic economy?

To maintain racial percentages? m&ds have outbred the chinks. If don't import, we become malaypore soon.
