This coming weekend (Sat, 27 Dec 2008) will be Tan Kin Lian's last speech and meeting at Speakers' Corner:

According to the comments in this thread, some banks such as StanChart and OCBC have reverted to their clients who bought the minibonds, saying that they found no justification in compensating them. What is happening?

Having dealt with StanChart before, it is a bank that "sucks" in customer service and other areas.

I hope DBS will not go the same way and I think with this development, banks have a lot to answer to the people.

BTW, I found the thread and am not TKL's spokesperson or promoter :)

Time for this Tok-Kok-Lung to shut his trap! CCB, all those farky b*st*rds who parked their $$$ for higher-thean-market returns (prevailing FD rates of 1-2% then) CowBehCowBu for what? When bought lemons either you eat 'em or make lemonades with 'em lor.

Think this is US of A ah??? Nabei want to twist the arms of our higher ups ah? Tiu! I now bought bags of popcorns and sit back to enjoy the TKL wayang show with bated breath of seeing who will prevail.

Bring it on TKL and your backers!

I get the feeling the people don't want to be answered to in the first place.

However, things are always susceptible to change no matter how many years. Even droplets can break down a concrete slab. Come the biggest "imperial exam" in 2010 / 2011, everyone will know.
