" The Second Coming " of Former DPM Tharman Shanmugaratnam ??? Many Thanks
Why needs to involve so many millions dollars paid ministers to form a Council to create jobs for Sinkies. The easiest and effective method with immediate result is to stop approve S Pass and not to renew the S Pass foreign PMET, JT of MOM can do this simple task alone with no problem.
The issue of our current high unemployment rate of PMET is their jobs being taken away by foreign PMET, so do not deny this fact and the problem could be solved easily, need not a scholar or high calibre ministers to spend time to form meeting, discussion, working our solution and implementation

Why suddenly in spite of Covid can create almost thousands and thousands of jobs?
Because TENS OF THOUSANDS and TENS OF THOUSANDS of jobs have gone missing.
An honest number is to give a forecast of the NET increase in the number of jobs.
It is like a company retrenching 500 employees and then go out and scream WE ARE
LOOKING FOR 100 workers.

Wayang in progress because of coming election. Over the last 20 years many councils had been established and yet more and more foreigners came and stole jobs from Sinkies. How many times must Sinkies be fucked before they wake up.

All the Council thing is BS.
Have the correct policies, and things will fall in place.
Remember the time they said nobody wanted to be a crane driver at the port?
When they raised the salaries to $4K+, they could not cope with the applications.

Getting bosses or business owners to join n control an 'employment' council is akin to letting the fox guard the hen house. All bosses want are free productive labour. Basically a slave. If labour costs can be totally eliminated lagi best

Singapore Computer Society president Chong Yoke Sin said that as Covid-19 has underscored the urgent need for digital transformation, "we will push for this critical digitalisation across all sectors, and for more workers to undergo training to gain digital skills".
Brilliant. So he mean more computer and robots will take over human jobs so they can hire more human to watch over the computers?

Spot on bro...

In fact if u pay good wages in construction and buildings industry u can attract better FWs from Europe who are stronger, healthier, educated advanced and productive, and good construction workers compare to Indian villagers.

Jobs must be created for locals in the 4 pillars of the economy with high, stable and structural trade courses to move up the chain follow the technologies advancements..

Every 10-15 years there are technology breakthrough for exapmle bluetooth tech was V4.0 for 10-15 years and now bluetooth V5.0 has arrived... this revolution will change the way we work, play and live.

Why still stuck with using cheap ahneh villages workforce in construction industries for so long untill CV19 exposed them.

Saying that construction jobs are heavy work but not all. Only reo laying bar is a bit heavier but still a challeging jobs where new methods of laying bars are lowered by tower cranes.

If the weather is hot then invention uniform with fans attached to it. Every regions hv different humility abd temperature but being innovatives will create the jobs become interesting to work in, be it construction sites or office to fit the region u live in.

Geting cheap ahneh labour will get the country stuck with backwards construction methods used and see no gain in productivity, innovations and progress for the country.

Creating an army of construction workforces also prepared for bad times if the countries are in crisis with building bombed into oblivion. look at ME for examples, after bombed they dont hv an army of construction workforce to rebuild, the city, villages, urban quicky to house their own peoplewith roof over their heads and wait.... this include plumbers, electricians, beicklayers, to keep the installations functioning and on going amid of the crisis.
