I don't know what you're jumping up and down for? You want to take sushi with sake or not, it's your business, none of my business. I only recall saying I don't take sushi with sake following the habit and advice of an elderly Japanese uncle. You don't have to follow what I do. Muslims say pork shouldn't be eaten too.

Notice it advised to begin with sake, then after taking rice or sushi, move on to green tea or beer.

For me anything thats alcohol goes with any food as long as alcohol its good. People also say white wine with white meat red wine with red meat guess its just a guide for me red goes with any food not spicy while I take white only with spicy food and that's my own guideline.

It's good as supper snack with whiskey. Just the plain sashimi looks too raw for me to try. I know sake is Japanese wine but have never tried it before. What's genmai cha? Japanese green tea?

sashimi refers to sliced pieces of food, not just fish. for example, you can have tiger penis prepared the sashimi way. if tiger penis is too expensive, you can have ram dick sashimi. heard jealous thai wives are good with sashimiing stray dicks. sake is rice wine. drifter may be tempted to reward his pitbull and himself with sake if it were to reduce ram down to dogmeat. genmai cha is green tea with roasted rice. has that smoky or burnt flavor. drifter will know. his wife very good at brewing it. for me, everytime i burnt my rice accidentally, i add it to tea and serve the mixed brew to cheapskates. excellent way in getting rid of burnt rice.
