it's some black fish scam served by nigerians. nigiri is usually an assortment of bite-sized sushi served with fish, egg, shrimp, roe, octopus, squid, seaweed mix, crab, etc. over rice. squeezed by hand, the chef adds his personal touch. tastes better if he scratches his balls.
