No. GMS should know there's no way he can win with those kind of arguments. WP is not above reproach yet the angle he chooses to attack from tend to be the lamest, requires him to distort facts and makes him vulnerable to demolishing. Unless he has gone mad there's no way he won't know that.

My own speculation is that his real aim is to bring out the worst in WP supporters (and opposition supporters whom he will paint as pure WP), provoke them to call him names so that the rest of the perceptions can take over. Remember there was an attempt to up-play the boo-ing incident at Punggol East. Or he might also be thinking of using the "two-hopeless-parties-dominating-the-political-scene" theory for not being interested to run for election in 2016 or anymore.

GMS think he can outbeat the political commentary by TRE and TOC by attacking WP when it fits. When and where he thinks PAP is wrong and only when he thinks, then he attacks them, but not to the degree of WP.

Still, WP has proven him wrong again and again--GE 2011, Hougang BE, PE BE and throughout their work in parliament.
