"We cry everyday": S'poreans roll their eyes at PM’s tears during Labour Day speech

Fucker talk about COE increasing?
Now buying car become a necessity?
To a PMET couple with young children and aged parents, a car is not a luxury. Their quality of life will be far better with a car. It is difficult to put a price on comfort and convenience.

It is only comprehensible that a few would think that car is a necessity for QUALITY of LIFE. But Singapore is only a small nation whereby one point to the furthest next point is only less than 40 mins in the event of an emergency, more so for those who claim aged parents or kids as a concern.

The insignificant nobody me was once at a biz meeting with a budding entrepreneur at his factory in Eunos, when a factory floor industrial accident happened. A lady worker had her finger cut when working on a cutting machine. There were screams and shouts, and when I looked out of the window on the 2nd floor of the meeting room, blood was freely flowing from her finger....

While others were stunned into immobility, and one even fainted at the sight of blood, I immediately ran to her, took out pieces of tissue paper, first to bound her severed finger to staunch the blood flow and another tissue to wrap up the piece of remnant finger, dirt and all, thanks to my NS military training, scoop her up and carried her to my car, and pedal to metal to NUH on the expressway, reaching it within 20 minutes.

Actually, it was unnecessary, as just a call on a hotline, an ambulance would arrive within 15mins, along with medics and medical equipment to save lives and take her to the hospital. This is how efficient Singapore is.....

It was fortunate that the medical emergency in my case happened at a 2 storey factory unit, with a private car park in front. Should the situation be in a high storey building, it would had taken a longer time to reach the basement carpark levels to retrieve a car, wait at gantries, then drive around to pick up the victim, which would had taken a longer time, to save a life.

So too would a family member if one thinks that having a car would be more convenient, as such would take time to leave one's premises, follow the traffic to reach one's loved one. At times, thanks to our efficient and evolving transportation systems, - buses, MRT, taxis, rental cars, even for medical emergencies, a car may not be a reasonable premise as a necessity in life....

I apologize if anyone is offended by my post, as no offense was intended.
