For some people inc. those in this forum and in Singapore, this whole Jap vs China lameness is more of a Racial thing and that is Scary.

You don't see Europeans around the world Rallying behind a European country but you see this among Chinese Countries, Hell you don't even see this among Arab Nations. Very Interesting story, My great-grand & grand parents had a very difficult time in Singapore during the 2nd world war, My grandfather(Father side) fought against the Japs in the beginning before getting captured and was severely tortured and made into a POW but today, He doesn't feel any hatred towards them nor does my grand-mother, Infact no one in the family including myself have any hatred towards the Japs. What has happen in the past has happen, The new generation shouldn't made to suffer for the egoistic and Revengeful attitude of the older generation and a few. Its a whole new generation now.

The Jap govt is fucked up, but most of the moderate and left-wing Japanese laymen know that their ancestors did much wrong and feel ashamed about it. Hence, I chose to 'forgive' the Japanese and move on, not branding any of them as the same stock as their ancestors. A magnanimous heart goes a long way for a happier and healthier self.

The problem is revenge is in the blood of the Chinese culture everywhere including Singapore.No one can say forgive on behalf of those victims.Lets the next generation settle this blood debts which "must" be settled especially for aggressors who never feel repented after what they have committed.
