Does anyone know how ISD agents work?

ISD power and duty is not defined by the ISA. This is not the Boy Scout of America.

The entire Act does not mention ISD, Internal Security Department or any body that looks or is remotely associated with an Intelligence Service.

ISD stands for Internal Security Department. Its power and duty are defined in ISA, Internal Security Act. You can go Google for it or ask a lawyer for it. The question that whether ISA overempowered ISD officers is irrelavant at law. You should vote for someone into power to reduce or reverse it if you think so. If you voted and still lost, shut the fuck up if you still believe in democracy and accept majority wins, not what you think or say wins.

Thta's the trouble with one-eyed Jacks who like to believe he is in the land of the blind. They try hard not to blink with the blind eye.

He was undergoing seal training, counter-intelligence tactics and explosives making. When he came out after 5 years, the six pack was impressive. He used to tie a bandana around his head, his hair curly and long and the body tanned. I remember he mumbled more than he talked.
LOL Good one

ISD, SID...so Goh and Scrobal answer a quick or long question: Why are the Ng Chee Brothers valued so highly that they occupy top spots in the Spy-military complex?

Eldest: Ng Chee Khern: former RSAF head now SID chief. Unusual, considering SID chief is usually a lousy BG who can never be MG or LG.

Ng Chee Meng: Took over brother as RSAF Chief. Possibly the next CDF since he's the most senior of the chiefs.

Ng Chee Peng: RSN Chief.

(one wonders why none of the 3 were in the army.)

Sounds like a dodgy family business going on.

The guy in question is one frail and meek bugger. The Allan Wee case was another intelligence blunder. He spilled the beans after he was arrested for smuggling contraband out of Russia. The bloody swallow just phoned his house and she scored. No need elaborate setup. Can you imagine a cypher clerk compromised by a 10 cent phone call. How the fact was he trained.

If he was trained, he would have made good money and become a national hero!

If such an incident happened to me, what would I do?

I would 'plead guilty' to my bosses. Apologise and apologise until no saliva. Beg for forgiveness for not having first apprised them of my sexual involvement with a Russian pussy. Assure them I won't be compromised - that's the reason for confession! Tell them the complete story. Offer myself as a 'double' and attempt to extract as much info as possible from the Russians.

Meanwhile, enjoy all the free fucks. Maybe my bosses would refer me to SID to get another paycheck. Paychecks and subsequent bonuses all tax free. End of assignment, maybe National Day award. After retirement, can become a trainer, a real good one.

especially how not to cum prematurely inside a swallow. with chicks like them, too many wankers will not be able to hold for long. need to pump with cadence, rhythm and patience for more info. one way to hold longer is to think of youknowwho when pumping. your class will need a big picture of youknowwho on the big wall.

Dear Golden Dragon,

The guys in ISD must be laughing to death when they read this. BTW, who are you betting with? Don't lose your $88 that easily!

It is good that you don't trust politicians like me. I don't trust 100% almost all of them.

I am known right from secondary school as a rebel, even when I am the Chairman of the Student Council. Socialist inclined (yes, they called it leftist) and by second year in NUS, I was told how thick my ISD file is. By the time I am just an ordinary WP member, I have been tapped, followed etc.

You are actually half right. Choosing the path of being a businessman is for the flexibility of time. But that's not for running ISD errands but rather for political activities. It is strange that I have only changed once my political party and you claim that I change like underwear! Chiam ST has also changed party once, so what? Scroobal is right, it is a matter of principles to me.

Scroobal is right as well, if I am really going for another "mission", NSP would be the last choice!

But Scroobal has made a mistake here. I will be the last one whom ISD would approach for "cooperation" because I am considered "hardcore" rebel. The only subtle attempt is to try to persuade me to "work from within PAP" to change it but I have brushed it off immediately.

Compromised 2 decades ago? You must be kidding! 2 decades ago, they were just beginning to collect data on me and putting up an impressive files on me!

Now, I am more interested in counter-intelligence and I have made lives quite difficult for some. Only agents who want to sneak into my network will find difficulties in doing so. Thus, for those who told you that I have two FB accounts and kept one private, most likely he is one of the agents who have been unsuccessful in getting in. Hey, that is PRIVATE FB for PRIVATE FRIENDS only!

You can try and try but will never convince me you are 'real' and not 'reel'.

CST can change 10 political parties and I will still be convinced he is 'real'. Same for JBJ.

As for the $88 wager, no problem. Not even enough for me to spend in a single night. Small change to me.

I am sure you don't trust opposition politicians. How to, when you don't even trust yourself. If you acquiesced, so can many others.

Rebel? Student council? Isn't CSJ a rebel too? Honestly, student councillors are the last I trust. Whether you were asked to join or cultivated while there, that's one question I am unable to answer. Wonder who told you the thickness of your ISD file.

As always you flatter yourself. Two decades ago, they were collecting your data and compiling them in your personal file. Let me guess ok? Coz you were then perceived to be a future threat? Or, as agents or potential agents, they need to monitor you for obvious reasons aka due diligence? Imho, you shouldn't talk too much. The more you do so, the more exposed you become.

In a capsule, I still don't trust you. Will never trust you even when my 'big house' enters Mandai Crematorium. I have seen enough of people like you.

Read GMS reply. Its a great laugh!! :-) LOL!

Notice how the period when he graduated from NUS to the time he joined WP in early 2000's is a big black hole. 6-7 years of his life unaccounted for.

Maybe he went to Thailand to become a monk during that period?

End of the day, never trust GMS. He believes what he is doing is for 'national security' to ensure opposition parties are not influenced by foreigners. That was the approach used to 'convert' him. They always use that approach. With his ego, not difficult to succeed especially with a nice paycheck. Bloody fraud.

My new question is this: How did this thread even generate 6000 plus page views? That's hell lot of people reading but very few actually posting.

Believe me, this thread is the thread of the year! Some people are putting up daily reports to their bosses. I am 100% certain it reaches even PMO. Attempts will be made to ID those who post 'sensitive' info here. It's ok. They know me.

They knew the usual band troublemakers will join the party and they were blessed.

The pertinent question here is - were the troublemakers given a compass and map or they accidentally strayed to CST's territory? No need a genius or rocket scientist to know the answer.

Precisely so, GD! It is not about "party hopping" but rather your inherent distrust. That is perfectly fine with me. But it seems that you are not even able to "justify" properly why you "distrust" me but not others. For me, as I have said, I don't trust almost all politicians. If you are "real" in intelligence service, you won't be talking like that!

It is fine that after struggling to find any reasons to justify your little inherent bias, you finally found one about "student councillors". But I have not told you the complete story yet! Or just put up another finer details, I was one of the few guys, without any organization background, went through a petition and successfully called an EOGM to question NUSSU President Steve Chia about some of the dealings in NUSSU! (Yes, I knew Steve Chia long before his public appearance as opposition candidate in GEs). So since you distrust Student Council, how about this, someone who has rebelled against one?

Alas, I just think that you will continue to find that little elusive reasons to justify your inherent "bias" but seriously, you don't have to. As I have said, it is perfectly alright not to trust politicians, even all of them.

Well, it is not exaggeration at all for anybody to utter about ISD file on me even twenty years ago. That is because I am really that VOCAL ever since young. In NUS days, I was PUBLICLY VOCAL about public policies. 20 years ago, during the start of GCT era, it was really an "exciting period" for economic students. He has started so many screwed policies with so many twisted reasons that economic students like me weren't really convinced at all. Discussions on policies like COE, Asset Enhancement scheme, GST, ERP etc took place. Now you know why I have sent a team to Marine Parade and eventually point my fingers at GCT for all the problems we are facing right now?

As I have said before, electronic bulletin board was started about 20 years ago in local universities. The access to soc.culture.singapore provided a good platform for such public dissent against policies for people like us. Agents were monitoring such discussions and data collecting started. And this is also why after Internet was available to public at large, my first active engagement after undergraduate days was soc.culture.singapore.

Well, thanks to this "exciting academic debates and discussions" on these policies, my role as policy critique helped me to gain insight to different perspective to all these policies which helped me tremendously now. I am indeed privileged to go through that period of "cultivation".

You have a weird thesis here. You would trust a politician who will be willingly under the influence of foreigner? LOL! Once you take favours from foreigners, be prepared to pay back many times in return! At whose expense? Of course the citizens!

Those who advocate foreign influence and role in Singapore politics are the real bloody fraud.

Any politician or even just citizen with that little bit of dignity and pride would not tolerate that. This is also why I have respect for LTK because we share the same values on this one.

I do not feel shameful about what I believe in. However, having said these, how do you actually conclude that I will become an agent for ISD just because I believe in this? As long as PAP is in power, ISD will always be my adversary, no ifs or buts. Even if it is about national security, it is their responsibility, not mine. If you really think money can buy me at all, well, you must be a very substandard agent!

Some dogs such as steffychute are professional doggies with the ISD.

Watch their actions and posts closely, their odd times in and out here and you know what I meant. This steffychute is confirmed ISD dog.

Spot on. It also explains why Chiam became very paranoid dealing with anyone outside his own family.

They are lot more professional than this thread suggest. The way we have been brought up does not lend itself easily to recognise certain crafts. I think everyone in Govt understand that. But being proud the approach more of us take is to work on the stuff that you are good at ie technicals, analysis etc. The service is hamstrung by 2 year to 3 year postings. To log your achievements, you would be smart to do short projects and assignments.

Look at SID, it now run by military chiefs. Naturally the 2nd rungs will start talking military to be on the same frequency. The ISD is now taking the short route with short assignment for the Head. This is cause the same issues.

If you look at Malaysian Special Branch, they are way ahead with Humint and even technicals. Raja Petra the renegade royal said he was shocked how much they knew including the meetings he had. He said that it appeared that they were also particpating at these meetings.

Dear Scroobal

The age old divide between the need for Political Intelligence and Military Intelligence persists to this day. The Isaraeli's facing life and death extinction on intelligence decided on both, Military Intelligence run by the Military and well Political Intelligence run by Mossad or civilians. Shin Beth and Internal Security got alone well with everyone as fortunately for Israel , the enemies fell into easy beauracratic stove pipes.

Military Intelligence is easy enough, how many tanks, aircraft, how well maintained they are, profiles of pilots generals, etc etc , operational plans, deployment plans etc etc. Civilian Political Intelligence and long term forecasting is hard enough as often those idiots in the target countries are pretty much well unaware of what they want :_)).

Trade Craft and Humint has its limits thus the tendency towards SATINT and SIGNIT. N Korea and Iraq as two totally closed societies was totally immune to the CIA MOSSAD MI5 etc etc. It was said that as MOSSAD lost generations of arabic jewry immigrants they likewise lost tons of HUMINT capability and hence their move to SAT and SIGINT to make up for its lost.

For terrorism effective as ISD is within Singapore, these radicals are being transformed and groomed overseas in places like Indonesia and the Phillipines. How effective is SID in penetrating a hard target and cell structure like Islamic Terrorism ? The Indonesians have turned terrorist leaders and used them against existing cells. Singaporeans have just reformed them but no news of using them. As you have stated ICG and one lady in Indonesia probably has better reporting than anyone else in Singapore on structures and motivation.

Within Singapore with reference to Wiki Leaks , ISD tracks people through key words and connections via the internet but at the end of the day even such sophistry has its limits.

I would say that the people in the frontline (lower levels) are doing to the best of their capabilities and feed the mid/upper management, how the mid/upper people analyze and disseminate this is always the devil. The proper stuff doesn't always reach the proper consumers. Who wants to be the messenger that gets shot?
