Company terminates S'porean's contract 1 day before his reservist training begins

The company should let him complete the reservist then end contract.
Win win for both party!
 
the above is a serious mistake, it a myth that companies dun lost on wages. While u go ICT, yes, SAF give u MUP but your company will have to your CPF contributions, and that 16% on the company contribution is bear in full by the company, SAF wont pay a single cent to reservists'CPF.

More important than $ is the question of who will do your job :confused:

In efficiently run MNC they make do with minimal staff. There's very little duplication of responsibilities. It would be difficult for someone who has reservist obligations to do their job if they have to interrupt everything to go play soldier.
