It's a deal. Let me know what the hell you want to try. BTW, I spoke to a Japanese supplier. He was mentioning the best la mian he tried was in AB. For the life of me can't remember Calgary or Edmonton.

The honest to goodness LaMian. He was obssessing as only Japanese do with how he pulled and smacked the noodles.... I've lost touch with him so have to rely on memory.

Re: Medical Doctor in Canada

May I suggest that you accept the potential employment opportunity, to produce cash flow, and to lengthen your savings. Thereafter, perhaps, you may wish to try to become a medical doctor in Canada, because you never know when they change the rules, and you may be a medical doctor (and a specialist) sooner than you forecasted.

Good luck.
Wah this advice was the best. I followed it totally!

Thanks @Charlie99 !!

always ask first when a sinkie overseas offers you help...

"are you a real estate agent or in the real estate business?"

if the answer is "yes", be forewarned. there is no such thing as a free lunch.

i have seen too many best friends part ways over real estate deals gone awry. they have not only parted ways but have also farted loudly in each other's way of life, including but not limited to unending online feuds among former friends and character assassinations among loved ones. the bottom line is it got too personal and it had to stop. otherwise, someone is gonna end up taking the law in his/her own hand and shooting someone. from best to beast - sinkie style.
Wah even way back then you were around @eatshitndie !

Have the two of you met?
Yes.

I met Charlie99 many years ago in 2004 when he came to visit Singapore. Our families had lunch at the Sizzler in Toa Payoh central. At that time I had 2 young children and he had 3.

I next met him Nov 2019 in Toronto. I was there for the Tilray Medical advisory board meeting.

I had dinner with Charlie99 and his family at Miku Toronto. Was a fabulous evening! We both have 4 children now.

We do watsapp each other regularly.

This current forum.

I knew him from delphiforums SBF. He had a different nick then.

That's how I got to know him.

I joined this new forum when asychee asked me to join it. Was it sometime in 2008 when I did my landing? Or was it 2010 when I moved to Canada? I cant remember.

I checked I joined Apr 24 2010. That was when we were preparing to move to Canada.

I was very impressed with his attitude and perspective in life.
He proved it, when he immigrated to Alberta.
I have not heard or met a medical doctor who was willing to work in a factory (windows manufacturer) as a new immigrant.
When an opportunity arose where he was offered a residency position in Calgary, I suggested that he accept it and to take all the necessary steps to be able to practise medicine in Canada.

It was a very delicious and expensive dinner.
He insisted on treating my family.
Thank you.

I did not know him, but interacted with him at the predecessor of this Forum.
He suggested that we meet in person during one of my visits to Singapore.
He was residing in SG then.

Does he look like this? :roflmao::roflmao:
