Gahment now raises the lower income salaries, do a lot more for them and so on. Employers now has to pay more to them and also for other costs which are going up. In the end, prices have no way to go but up!! The middle income will be the hardest hit since for the rich, they will always have much more than enough. Already check out the prices in the foodcourts, restaurants..etc...they are all increasing. However employers are not going to increase the salaries of the middle-incomers....economic landscape is not pretty and costs have gone up, squeezing many companies profits.
In the end, the poor will have their subsidies and 'safety net, the rich will still go on with the lifestyle whilst the rest of us got to tighten our belt and take all this shit!!! Might as well just say take part of my salary to give to the poor and tell me to live with it!! I can tell u a lot of brothers and sisters are going to suffer a drop in their living standards if this carries on...people are going to downgrade....private to HDB, cars to public transport, restaurants to foodcourt...and so on. Nothing catastrophic or life threatening ....but u get the big picture!!!
