A balanced diet vs Pescetarianism

chinese vegetarian diet is not really very healthy if you really examine it. all fried stuff....

i only know real and proper vegetarian food after i know some hindus. Its really nice

Agreed. Indian food is flavored with spices. Chinese food (nowadays) is flavored with MSG.

However for veggies, I prefer the crisp freshness than processed (cooked).

Cheers!

It's only available in a few stalls in Little India.

Bro, I heard that Hindu vegetarian meals are too rich because of butter and ghee and therefore not healthy. Your views appreciated.

thanks for telling. honestly i am not too sure about it as i have no idea how it was being cooked or prepared, i just eat LOL.

but it certainly looks a lot better than fake meat and those fried items we see in chinese vegetarian meal.

In law, we talk about the spirit and the letter of the law. The fine points are important, but the spirit of it is the source, the essence, why the details are fleshed out in the first place.Diets, how food are cooked etc etc and many other exotic unpronounceable diet names and recipes..... WowThe late Dr Balaji said it best when heart-stricken Khaw seek his food adivce post operation. What u eat ha ? Aiyah ! Khaw, I can't answer u but let me tell u what I eat..... Anything & everything I fancy ... Just keep your commonsense and eat in moderation.... Words to that effect. My theory is : pay attention to psychological and it's mysterious impact on psychosomatic systems of the body down to microcellular levels. Whenever we are in 2 minds, guilt conscious or all else like that, eat also cannot enjoy, abstain still busy song etc etc, we are just fucking confusing our cells ..... Reject or not reject, ingest/digest/absorb the nutrients & start the metabolic processes or not, Nabei boss, the food u like no like, we hard to do our duty leh?!In short, eat commonsensical, respect all diet discoveries or possibilities, but best yet, enjoy your food and always have peace of mind, heart and soul .... Then the yin yang, Qi or what fuck balance is there.Keep it simple, ok, after all, dying sure takes some form or route or root cause.....Me vegetarian + fish mainly at birth - naturally. Egg meat eat all vomit. Grew up, by and by, the allergy is gone...still preference is for white meat and greens.... Vegans who eat healthy but hold a grim outlook on life .... Man, not very good statement for zestful living, so mutation of cells are sad but quite understandably plausible. My 2 cents worth...

Son, try not to eat Chinese vegetarian fake meat. That's about the most unhealthy artificial food imaginable. If you want to eat veggie, just eat it. If you want to eat meat, just eat it. It'd be healthier.

That baffles me too. However like I said earlier, cancer can hit anybody - we've all heard about those who don't smoke, and yet get lung cancer. As far as I understand, cell division (mitosis) is how our body grows or replace damaged cells, and if the cell division doesn't come out right, we get a mutant cell. If the mutant cell further goes replication and multiplies - there is your cancer. And sometimes when we try to interfere, this cell becomes aggressive and starts to multiply even faster - to protect its own kind. Now, I am not a doctor, so this are just some things I have read.

Some years ago, I was at a ginseng farm and a farmer there told me that cancer is the revenge of animals - I believe that alot, although now I know that explanation is not complete. We are mortals. Most of us working class I am sure vegetarianism has crossed out minds more than once.

Cheers!

No lah cancer is the body's reaction to some viral or bacterial infection.

I have the video i'll post it soon.

It's a 2hr long video so pls take your time to watch it.

At one part of the video he explains how with the increase of diseases like TB or malaria in places there are ppl with less cancers. The decrease of diseases were the increase of cancers.

Watch the vid to get a clearer picture.

Bro,

Eat anything and everything in moderation lah, that's the best advice. Even moderation to be done in moderation, so occasionally give yrself a treat - lardimonious char kwey teow, gheefull curries, coconut rich laksa..

My Cantonese grandma died at 91, my grandaunt at 93. Both ate dried ikan bilis and white refined rice which people say now is carcinogenic. They also ate a lot of fermented tofu, lard, fats, mercury filled century eggs, salted eggs, but defied death till over 90s. My father died of an infected colon, at age 82. His diet was similar, but perhaps their hard lives enabled the body to scavenge the toxins better. Not too bad a record looking at the way they have gone - they didnt pull any punches regarding food.

Guess these days, life has become affluent, we;re more sedentary, food more refined, environ more polluted despite my dead loved ones living thru the filth in Chinatown, 20 to a cubicle in yr face living, rats and roaches and flies galore, TB, typhoid, dysentery, street dried veggies, unfiltered water, and what have you.

Possibly despite all their shortcomings, we are worse off - Bhopal, Chernobyl, japan nuclear reactors fiasco, oil spills, polluted rivers...It's the diet we acquired since we gave up our stones, bows and arrows and went for grains, cultivation of crops. Americans produced so much corn surplus after the Roosevelt grain deal that their farmers stopped raising cows and switched to corn growing and selling it to big food companies. They churned out so much corn-based "plastic" food that the whole damned foodchain is corrupted. hence, mad cow disease, cancer..

Nobody is safe from this polluted Earth. All these anti-cancer diets are bunkum. see how they are also cereal-based? We are doomed sooner or later. Some of our DNA are more robust.

Just enjoy today - eat and drink and be merry - in moderation.

In my early years I followed a regime of only eating fish and vegetables similar to Steve Jobs. I felt so much better, could do all activities with a clear mind and physical prowess. Nothing to do with animal rights or religion. At that time a number of people were following the diet and it was quite popular in the 80s. Then some who had followed the diet began knocking off early. The has never been a scientific research along these lines that I know of. What I however did notice is that those amongst us, family members, friends, neighbours, colleagues who went on to enjoy longevity had one common trait - will eat anything but in moderation. They however avoided some obviously bad food food such as mutton soup, leap chap etc.

I personally know this lady who was quite religious about her fish and vegetables and she died of cancer in her 40s. And she was not even Cantonese. Then Steve Jobs.

I switched to a normal meals without any excesses not for any other reason but to enjoy good food. I did however note that when I was on fish and vegetable diet, hard-on was Grade A and maximum duration. When back a few times, it was the same after about 4 weeks. Any scientists, pundits, and any man on the street care to throw in your views.

Say that again! How many fishes you consume a day and what kind of fish?

Nevermind, I can take that little risk once a while.

bro,

there's already the small blue pill to boot, no need to reinvent the wheel.

i only thought bro Scrobal wanted to bag the Ig Nobel prize for the physiological benefits of having fish :p:p:p

Hey, not the same. :D

Firstly, I can enjoy my meals.
Secondly, I don't have to pop 2 different pills and still kept the dollars spent.
Thirdly, I don't have to care about the time to take.
Fourthly, I don't want my movement to be restricted by an erected dick.

;):)

Here's some quotable quotes.

Too much of anything, no matter how healthful, can cause an imbalance.

We arent' what we eat. We are what we don't shit.

You right about the fried stuff. It did not dawn on me when it was right in front until you mentioned it. Will give the hindu veg stuff a go. I attended hindu weddings and they were actually very nice.

Good write-up bro. I am sucker for Ikan billis. kept away because of the carcinogenic properties. You are right about moderation. I eat everything now but in moderation. No seconds on favourites if it is high in usual bad elements. Not sure but I keep hearing stories about people who live long and their varied diet. Your folks are yet another example.
