SUNGAI PETANI: Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Datuk M Saravanan expressed his concern over 350,000 Indian youth in the country that are facing difficulties to secure a job due to poor qualifications.

According to Saravanan, the affected group consists of those who only managed to continue their studies up to Form Three or Five or acquired either the Pentaksiran Tingkatan Tiga (PT3) or the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) certificates.

"In the past, those who finish their studies up to Form Five can still manage to secure a job in the various sectors available such as the factories.

"Today however, many employers prefer to hire foreign workers, and I believe within five or ten years from now, it may be possible that this group of people can no longer be able to get a decent job. They may be forced to look for jobs overseas," he said.

Saravanan said this after attending the closing ceremony of the leadership course at the Asian Institute of Medicine, Science and Technology (AIMST) here today.

The three-day leadership course received the participation of a total of 150 Indian youths from throughout the state, and was organised by the Socio-Economic Development of Indian Community of the Prime Minister's Department with collaboration with the Indian Welfare Association of Merbok Parliament.

Saravanan said that he believed many Indian youths did not mind working in sectors categorised as difficult, dirty and dangerous (or 3D) as long as they received reasonable payment.

"The proof is that many of them are willing to work in scrapyards.

"Whether a job is difficult, dirty or dangerous has never been the main issue, but rather more on the amount of payment received based on the type of job performed," he said.

Saravanan added that the government had also provided various types of training to help Indian youth to gain jobs in the various sectors available.

Tonychat is too busy sucking our PAP dick! He knows that without PAP, he won't be able to find a decent job and would have to live daily in fear in mudland, worried whether the m&ds would riot and rape his ass in broad daylight!
