An SBS Transit bus service 51 rammed into a bus stop at Eunos Link, injuring 21 people.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force says six ambulances were used to sent the victims to hospitals.

15 were sent to Changi Hospital and the remaining six, who are children, were sent to KK Women's and Children's Hospital.

One of the victims suffered head injuries and was semi-conscious, while the rest were reported to have light injuries.

In a statement, SBS Transit apologised for the incident and they are sending teams to the hospitals to ensure they are well taken care of.

SBS Transit is helping the police in their investigations.

Does that imply that hospitals don't take good care of casualty patients unless teams from the organisation that caused the accident are present???

What a fucked up country sinkieland is!

why not?
they should make use of this opportunity.

"To prevent such incident from happening again, SBS has decided to increase the labour pool to another 5%. This is to minimise fatigue and relieve stress from bus captains given the long hours from plying the roads. PTC has given the go-ahead to the fare adjustment since the economy has rebound strongly and SBS has promise the surplus will be use to upgrade their infrastructure and systems to ensure communters travel smoothly and safely in world class transport."

sshhhhh!! some ministar had just mentioned they want to remover the LONG DISTANCE bus services....Service Number 51 is one of those long distance ones....from Hougang Interchange to Jurong East Interchange.

I am very sure, when the circle line to the west from Bouna Vista to Harbourfront is completed, service number 51 will be gone...

The upcoming price increases is for theemployment of more PRC drivers, rise in oil prices...and a BOOMING economy...and don't worry or fret, the Pass The Cost ( PTC) will ensure it is still affordable.

From the pic, given any possible scenario in thought, the freaking driver must be sleeping.

Gien the liberal leeway of the press in other countries, the press will swarm it and the person who caused such an accident will be splashed on all the front page along with pics by evening.

SBS coming out publicly with an official statement can only meant that they are desperate on damage control.

Here everything is kept under wraps on the veil of investigation, 10 to 1 I bet is a young Ah Tiong driver.

The driver fell asleep at the wheel. Not the first time I've personally seen that happen.

According to some passengers who were on the bus, there was something wrong with the brakes and the driver could not slow down or stop. He collided into 3 other vehicles before ramming into the bus stop.

I've been taking bus 51 once in awhile, recently another bus 51 broke down at Clarke Quay area and couldn't move so everyone had to alight.

One of those long-haul trips from Eunos to Pasir Panjang.

so many racist nationalistic losers

no mention of driver, immediately jumped to conclusion it is PRC

even if PRC can be many other factors causing accident like brake failure or another vehicle
