I will address your last point first. I too fear that he might not have come clean. They better do it real quick and nail this down before the Chua sisters and Dr Ong do the job for them.
Read Derek De Cunha's recent book and his chapter about SDP. He asserts that unless Chee goes the policial baggage of the past will mire SDP down. I also thought that his supporters were the issue but it seems that he is the issue. He has arged his point quite convincingly. Also note his comments about "champagne socialists" which is spot on as they are a "political" party that puts up the best bash in town and note the dress code and settings. Lets put it this way. Their activities which is always high profile, of a higher decibels does not resonate with HDB land. For every VW , there will be compensating idiots like James Gomez. And their best performing team was not even SDP except for VW. The CEC composition after the recet polls is more than telling.
Not a fan of TJS as his background and conduct suggest a hidden hand. I do however place a lot of value on his close associates. And we might be lucky if someone in a leadership capacity emerges prior to 2016.

I agree that WP remains the best bet, but partly because other parties still have not gotten their act together. There is SDP which I made a bold prediction that they may very well equal WP in 2016, as well as the TJS-led coalition which IMO has the greatest potential, but it remains to be seen whether they can consolidate and re-focus their energies rather than get bogged down by personality issues.
This scandal will hurt WP because as more and more dirt surfaces about YSL's exploitative behaviour, people will see WP's silence as damning. I suspect YSL did not come clean to LTK and SL about the whole matter but instead waited to see how far it would explode, in which case he is guilty of an even larger offence.
