The medical and health auths and community shld warn (they cannot suppress as it is futile) about shams and bogus medicine that pass off as authentic cures or lay unsubstantiated claims. The wiki on Nobel prizes website you quoted actually said that nominees are kept confidential even from the nominees for 50 yrs, so you actually shot yrself in the foot. That means, nobody in his right mind can claim he was a NP nominee, and if he did so, he has suspect credentials.
Personal testimonies from lay people are also not reliable. There is such a thing as the Placebo effect. That's why clinical trials always have a control lot. If somebody esp one with a miracle cure wants to make claims of 95% cure rate, it is up to the person to prove it beyond doubt. We have pointed out two chinks in the armour of so-called reliable sources, so that is enough to prove it is not authentic. The critics and sceptics do not have to prove that those who supported the same bogus claimant have benefited from it.
How can anyone know what "really" happens behind the close doors of the nobel committe
I read that Ghandi was being considered but rejected. If Nobel nominess were confidential I wonder how people knew this

I don't know how the nobel committee is suppose to be run but from personal work experience, when you get a group of people, politics gets involved
I understand the rationale for the blind studies but such studies are expensive. I was reading about the Edmonton discovery of a cancer cure.

However don't expect available to the public because Big Pharma is not interested in funding something they can't monopolize & make $$$
With regards to personal testimonials not being reliable, one has to ask which is more important the data or the survival rate
Did you watch the video on Nurse Rene Caisse

For years she was treating cancer patient successfully & fighting the so called medical establishment who were trying to prevent her. Watch her story it is in 4 parts:

So how would you determine a successful cancer cure. A suvival of 1 year, 2 year..... Her cure is to use herbs. Anyone can purchase the same herbs. It's available at
http://www.iherb.com/Essiac-Canada-...bal-Supplement-Powder-1-5-oz-42-5-g/3618?at=0 for less than US$32

If you are a doctor getting millions for researching cancer wouldn't you feel threatened
As for the 95% cure rate I can think a few valid reasons for the high rate such as money, motivation, ignorance,.... The poor have to work & are in no position to look for a cure until it's too late. Even if treatment was given for free there is a limit to the number of free treatments that can be given out. Only those who are strongly motivated will stay with any protocol. In the US the number of heart patients who've had heart by-pass have the same problem in 1 to 4 years because they don't make the necessary lifestyle changes e.g. exercise, avoiding processed foods, avoiding sugars, etc, etc. There is alot of ignorance out there, just look at the heat I've taken from Scroobal

He's called me the village idiot, hypochondriac
