Edwin Tong's stance may not rhyme with the true opposition supporters, but it's no rhetoric. Think about it, doesn't Edwin Tong represent most of the "moderates" in Singapore ? The moderates want somebody to oppose PAP but without being "confrontational". They don't have the balls to stand up to PAP, but they also don't want to be seen as PAP ball lickers. The only option is to join PAP but make yourself sound like an opposition. You get paid lots of money, you don't get threat of defamation, and when the next PE looms, you tell the electorate that you in fact opposed PAP.

Frankly without any logical ground for argument, Lily is prettier than Denise. But about nice and understanding, both of them are equally nice and understanding. I voted against them anyway as even LKY himself know. There was no more voting secrecy left in the nomination centre. I dared to put down my IC and assent WP candidates. I was a WP assentor and surely would vote for WP regardless of who PAP fielded. LKY still abides by it legally and gentlemanly and courteously. Edwin Tong was clueless.
