TKL was the best Mandarin speaker. TT can't even follow HYPY cue cards as he can't even figure out the tones. TJS struggled with rusty old colonial Mandarin mixed somewhere between dialectal accents. TCB simply gave up and let the TCS pro dub for him.

I need to ask, if I don't go and cast my vote, will I get into trouble?
 
Actually, TKL's Mandarin also sucks to hell like TT. Two or three weeks ago when preparing for broadcast scrript, I bluffed him, TT's Mandarin is quite good. TKL was surprised, saying he never heard TT spoke in Mandarin before. I upped the bluff, saying I've heard before, not OTC standard but quite good. TKL got worried enough to take this Mandarin broadcast more seriously, rehearsing one to two hours everyday.

Don't scare people. They don't bother already. They just strike your name off the electoral rolls. In the next PE or GE that you wish to vote, go to a CC and pay S$5 to get your name restored. With a good reason, e.g. sick or abroad, it's free.
