Hey, there is a mad dog around ! Dont understand.. Oops ! in my ignored list
In Sydney, sporeans are less homesick.
- Chinatown very 'happening' at night , almost every friday they have night markets, can buy bbq pork there.
- long working hours are expected in certain industry / organisation., including weekend work. Sydneysiders probably work the longest hours in Australia, stress level can be high.
- Asians & Asian eateries everywhere.
i agreee....but melb is better more msian and spore food...and they open till late as well.....
They open late here as well.
only a handful in city....if not have to travel to Beverly hills
Ashfield, Campsie, Burwood, Hurtsville, chatswood all have late night chinese restaurant. City, chinatown, Superbowl opens till 2-3am, Kam tong opens till 5am I think. City extra at circ quay and pancakes on rocks 24 hours.
ashfield campsie burwood hurtsville and chatswood thought they close before 12am??
i only know superbowl open till 3am and and kam tong till 4am last order at 330am...
only a couple of korean restaurants close at 4am and 6am on fri and sat
Ashfield:Eaton restaurant. Late night congee. Definitely don't close at 12.
burwood, hurtsville, chatswood has its own chinese/korean restaurant that close late as well.
gosh have to hit burwood ashfield and etc...to try something different...
guess with the asian influence..more and more restaurants and sweet shops are opening and till late as well....prior to 2002 there that many...
by the way u know of any hotpot restaurants that open till 3-4am?? mostly all close at 11pm...
Hotpot as in 嘛辣火锅?Not sure if any opened that late. The one in Ashfield is not bad. The popular one is crystal palace, 水井房in the city. PRC mei mei works there, but I don't think they open late the around 11 I say. She also said the soup are 回收unless you specified you want a new one. Just something you want to be aware of. Sydney definitely has more late night restaurant opened compared to 1995. Burwood, try along burwood road, near westfield. There are definitely cafes there that opened late there. Mostly middle eastern. One of them even served sisha, hooka if that is what you are after. Its not just chinese influence if that is what you are thinking of, Kebab shops usually open late as well. If you are really desperate for food late at night, try Kings X. They will always be shops opened there. Harry's pie at Wollomoollo opens damned late as well.
Hi guys,
I'm seriously contemplating about migrating to Canada. With an engineering degree, a postgrad diploma in teaching and 4 yrs of engineering project management experience in marine/oil&gas sector (plus 2 as a former teacher), I was told by a Canadian immigration lawyer that my chances of successfully applying for citizenship under the Skilled Worker category is pretty good. However, I'm a bit apprehensive about my chances of landing a job there.
I hope anyone who've migrated to Canada can enlighten me on the current job prospects and opportunities there. How long on average does a migrant need to wait before getting a job offer/interview? If possible, I would like to continue in the same sector in the same role in Canada. I often heard the opportunities are far greater compared to Sinkieland, but the priority given to Canadian citizen. Im just worried if theres any discrimination against migrants who recently became citizens. By the way, my qualifications are obtained in Singapore institutions, are they relevant and recognized over in Canada?
I hope somebody can help me out and enlighten me. Thanks!
As for myself I am in Edmonton. I used to be a doctor in Singapore.

I was lucky. Got a job within 1 month of arriving. I assemble windows on the assembly line at a windows and doors factory.
Oh My!..You were from the top school in Spore and a medical professional that every Sporean envy..But now ended up as an assembly worker after migrating to Canada.. You should have listened to Wendy then..Sigh!
