Well I think the future of Sinkieland dream will look something like the below ..

A young blue collar man marry a young gal working in a fast food restaurant & apply bto 2-rooms on a 99 lease :smile:

This couple received workfare supplements & other like GST vouchers :thumbsup:

They have a kid .. a cute baby boy born :D

Their young son completed his N Level, finished his NS & join the workforce ..
This is option 4. But family of 3 in a 2 room flat is squeeze. Many options to choose from. Go go go.
 
  • A friend's daughter in Maybank said malaysian and Indian superiors bring in their own staff and kick out the locals. The CEO & HR are covering up.
  • Another friend's daughter in HP had been "forced" to train her Malaysian PRC potential foreign replacements in Singapore.
  • In some 3M departments and distributors in Singapore, they probably have more malaysians than Singaporeans.
  • You go to OCBC's IT department, it's like little india.
  • Any company that stops hiring Singaporeans will make more money.
It is not simply about joblessness among the locals; it is under-employment for more and more Singaporeans who are displaced in their career.

It is more like a systematic white-collar genocide.

S'pore currently ranks 2nd in the world based on GDP per capita, which is the GDP of a country divided by its total population; the problem is that it does not tell us how this wealth is distributed. In S'pore, the privileged few are enjoying a luxurious lifestyle while the majority struggle on low wages as well as modest domestic purchasing power, which is aggravated by the extremely high cost of living.

Having a low income job is better than no job & we must believe that we can survive well in our country :sneaky:
My ex-colleagues who were laid off at management level in their late 40s and early 50s were unable to find jobs that matched their aptitude and experience. They were often told that they were "over-qualified" which translates to being too old for the vacancy.
