It made us broke.
My littlest cousin go one day got sick...medical bill S$100.
Her classmate went three days got even sicker...medical bill S$150.
Somemore must pay deposit S$10. No show without MC can't claim back deposit.
Somemore not even dogfood or drink. Bring your own money to buy.
Want dogfood also can. Volunteer as helper, not just spectator.
Who wants? You want is it? Your children want is it?

The Spirit of YOG itself is good, it's the how PAP execute it to glorify themselves that make me sick.
Worse of all, to treat our own people and children badly to achieve their means.
Weather they are doing it for the love of Singapore, you all can see from the little things they do, unless you are blind, you can tell they don't really give a shit for the people, we are just pawn for them to screw.
If you have some back bones, you will vote in a whole battalion of opposition to teach them who is the boss.

Agree with you. In fact, I was happy Singapore Football Team lost to Haiti. If they had won a Gold Medal, there would have been adding more fuel to the PAP propaganda fire.
Quite sad that I'm happy for defeat to Singapore team but that's what its come down to - losing my love for my country or should I say my company as we are no longer a country but just another big MNC chasing after KPI and Growth targets. We have lost our souls ........

It once again proved to me that Government treat foreigner better that local citizen. Foreigner gets buffet meal that are spolit for choice. Volunteer who work for free gets the equivalent of dog food.
No, only World Cup, European and Olympic Games played at 3 am and ending at 5.50 am - make me sick. So apply sick leave and catch up with sleep.
YOG games are organised at earthly hours, so convenient and can rest before going to work. YOG committee so considerate. School children involved,

Did anyone meet any of those fat YOG ang mo officials with the pass? I was at Suntec over the weekend. I think they misunderstood that the "Give Way to the YOG' extended to the food court. Saw them try to jump queue while waving their pass around.

WTF they think YOG big fark to screw with us . Make sure all the
tenants and shop owners suffer for it . Boycott it till like no tomorrow .
Since PAP regime might use this opportunity to rob us with more " Fines " .
Forummers who keep on harping on the negative things about YOG including the forummer who starts this thread make me puke. Why can't they give this kid a chance? Or for the gahment to host a big international event of this scale like YOG and Formula F1?
Citizens regardless of political beliefs should stand behind the gahment when Singapore is hosting international events which put the country positively on the world map. Unless they are foreigners who want to do Singapore in, or people who applied and failed to get a Singapore PR.
